They are polite. They have manners. That shit goes a long way in my book. ;) The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank." The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects. The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard. The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass. |

I'm talking here about my friends and family, and how when I try and talk about these things, they absolutely do not understand it. That's all. I was a little over dramatic last night after two tequila shots and a couple of barley pops. Within each family field exists a black sheep to show them the gate. Yes. I agree, D. Someone with a little bit more energy. Someone with an energetic edge over the rest of the family. The 'lucky' one. Or unlucky. All depending upon one's POV. I believe it was Dostoevsky that stated the Mothers prayer was that their offspring could be spectacularly average as not to suffer the slings and arrows of being exceptional. I lik like |
