I have lost flavor for this place. The forum.

As I felt much the same last night after attempting to logically talk to someone, with a deep seeded delusion.

For the 3 hour car drive down, I pondered on the exchange.

My logic was flawless, being that the thing she/he accused me of, were absolutely false.

However, when presented with the evidence of said, it was completely dismissed and ignored by they to whom I directed it.

This caused me a bit of reflection, while attempting to figure out HOW one helps someone with such a delusion.

I found myself wondering if there is indeed a need for 'mental institutions' which I have generally always been opposed.

However, when one has completely lost touch with reality, with those showing them the evidence of their false delusion and still the delusion holds, what is one to do?

It seems such a delusion especially aimed at complete strangers to whom know them not, would be potentially dangerous, not just to themselves but to others.

I don't believe in forced medicating either. As I find that to go against human rights.


But...what is one to do?

Just ignore the person and hope they get better?
