But is the ability to perceive it with detachment...or perceive it as a bodily sensation (without the emotion normally involved) indicative of having an extra moment. Knowing it is coming before it gets there.

When the dog barked at me, I am absolutely sure I did not flinch or blink or have a bodily 'reaction'. I simply felt and heard the waveform of the sound passing through me. The bodily sensation was more pronounced than the auditory one.

Is this even possible without at least a millisecond foreknowledge of the event advancing towards you?

 Quoting: Jonny Blaze

More than that...the perception of time slowing down came with the urge to flinch...which I was able to beat back.
 Quoting: Jonny Blaze

“We also achieved what is known as a ‘negative group velocity,’ a situation in which the peak of the output pulse exits the filter before the peak of the input pulse has reached the beginning of the filter,” explained Robertson. “Using the definition for speed as being equal to distance divided by time, we measured a negative time and thus realized a negative velocity.”

 Quoting: aether

Hmmm. Negative time. Perhaps I started reacting before I actually heard the noise. Interesting.
 Quoting: Jonny Blaze

As we know from disassociative effect. The brain will create a sound or image to instigate a notion in mind. That will become a precursor of significance. As it will create and bolster the notion and through the relation all that about it.

Re: X Marks the Spot
It is really pretty simple. If no magnetic monopole has ever been discovered, i.e., no magnetic field (line-forgive the use of that word) has ever been found not to begin and end. If magnetic fields could break, then reconnect, then a magnetic monopole would exist even if for a brief flash of time. Yet they also know this is impossible, so no mention of the magnetic monopoles that must exist even if for a brief time to have a line not connected to the dipole source. When a magnetic field changes the lines are never moved, but redrawn completely for each new configuration. If the electric current stops, the magnetic field ceases to exist. When the current reforms (electric fields are monopole, may start and stop on different sources) the magnetic field reforms around it perpendicular to the current flow.

The same reason they misunderstand magnetic reconnection is the same reason they misunderstand everything else. For those working with such good theories why do they always fail to predict anything and are always surprised?

The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank."

The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects.

The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard.
The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass.
