It comes like a very faint moving picture in the darkness. It feels' as if I hover around it, as if trying to lock myself to it. Once I am aligned properly I 'insert' myself into the picture. It is preferable because you are fully conscious the entire time, and you don't have to 'trigger' lucidity. Though, for me, I do not 'trigger' lucidity anymore. Most times it is just there. In other words, the majority of the time, I always know I am dreaming when I am dreaming. BUT, there are many different conscious layers I am talking about, so it is not so cut and dry as it seems. Sometimes there is a lack of color (like last nights) and the living colors are very faded and the setting is 'dark', like it is night out. I can 'see' the dream state manifesting into my mind. It comes like a very faint moving picture in the darkness. It feels' as if I hover around it, as if trying to lock myself to it. Once I am aligned properly I 'insert' myself into the picture. Quoting: Septenary Man It is preferable because you are fully conscious the entire time, and you don't have to 'trigger' lucidity. Though, for me, I do not 'trigger' lucidity anymore. Most times it is just there. In other words, the majority of the time, I always know I am dreaming when I am dreaming. BUT, there are many different conscious layers I am talking about, so it is not so cut and dry as it seems. So the dream arrives separate of you? You watch it coming in? As in, it is being sent? No, I have never entered a dream when the 'visions' seem to materialize like that. Just before entering a dream, a 'picture' popes up...maybe like it was moving fast towards me from a distance. I can't be sure because just before it appears a loud noise startles me. The picture had a definite boundary to it and was round shaped. My childhood dreams consisted of many haunting's such as that but was weaved around were wolfs. In the dream that I had where I ended up in front of the Thor's helmet nebula taught me something significant. Like I share with you on the other thread. I believe those are doorways in our mind that have to unlocked in our dreams that are either accessible or in accessible thru our conscious actions and fear that have to be over come. Once I had one of a white lion flashing its teeth at me...looking like it was roaring. Soon after I had another where I seemed to be moving through a canopy of trees. The leaves weren't 'green' exactly. They seemed to glow instead of reflect light. Then I saw what looked like a car's red tail light moving through the canopy.
