I had to look it up...

tounge

I found an interesting word in the description...

"The Queen of Cups is among the most loving archetypes in the tarot deck. She indicates compassion, love, and concern for ourselves and our fellow man. Often when the "court cards" come up in a reading, they indicate an actual person, in this case a woman, in our lives. The majority of the time when the queen of Cups appears, and is "standing in" for a person, she is representing a female with hair on the lighter end of the spectrum.

When the Queen of Cups comes up in the context of love, she often indicates a very positive outlook about a relationship. If you are single and she appears, it's a good indicator that you should "get out and mingle," as a new, very positive, romance may be on the horizon."

Perhaps it has something to do with the spectrum between 'mingle' and 'contend'.

Mixing and dancing vs fighting and arguing.

Feels right.

For the last three days something he said to me, has been ringing in my head.

he said,

"Light doesn't contend with darkness, it just shines."

I believe at the time, I had a problem with the word 'contend' in regards to his response, to my own.

Contend meaning to 'fight' or compete.

Perhaps this is where the 'mingle' topic is coming from.

Looking at it from a Russellian frame, the light is everywhere. When we 'see' light, we are witnessing the cause/cause/effect, not the light. Light is everything! We just cannot perceive it in our material/biological bodies until the effect occurs resultant from the two causes interaction.

So, it is not even that light shines. It just IS. It is what we are able to perceive that denotes the imaginary reference of 'shining'.

EDIT: Holy crap...I hope that makes sense. I am trying describe the extremely complex idea that light is everything, we just cannot perceive it as that since our consciousness is bound within flesh.

Re: X Marks the Spot
here is what they represent in your spread SS

Past

The Past position in the reading refers to recent events and challenges that just took place, things that lead up to the present situation, and your role in them.

Queen of Swords
The Queen refers to you, or someone who strongly influenced your life in the situation in question, but does not have to be female. She holds the sword of truth upright. She faced reality, and while she endured many sorrows, she learned to accept the truth. The butterfly on her crown is a symbol of her emergence from a chrysalis: she transformed into the self-assured Queen depicted on the card. The tassel dangling from her wrist is like a freshly severed rope, which signifies her release from the bonds of confusion, doubt, and illusion. Like her, you saw clearly, and thought freely.

Present

The Present position in the reading represents what is happening right now. Typically, this is what triggers you to seek out a reading. This card can often help you to understand what steps to take next.

Queen of Cups
The Queen of Cups knows what she wants, and takes the steps necessary to get it. She symbolizes the strength of the abilities of the imagination and the psychic self. Seated at the edge of the ocean, she dips into these powers. As water takes the shape of its container, the Queen assumes the moods of others. This may be what you are doing, or it may describe the actions of a person important to your current situation.

Future

The Future position in teh reading describes what is just around the corner. It’s an official “heads up” about where the situation is heading and how you may navigate through it towards the best possible outcome.

The World
The World is the twenty-second card in the Major Arcana, and is given the number 21 to indicate the subconscious mind of the High Priestess (2) uniting completely with the conscious mind of the Magician (1). A figure dances in the center of a giant victory wreath. The creatures that symbolize the four elements have materialized, taking on more realistic forms. The dancer is widely considered a hermaphrodite, symbolizing the unity of the masculine and feminine aspects to form a complete whole. The wreath is adorned with two red sashes, each one forming the sign of infinity. These symbolize the eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth. The dancer passes through the wreath, entering a new phase of development, holding two wands. These wands channel the energy outward and inward, in an endless flow. The Wheel has come full circle, and the Dance of Life begins again, coiling ever upward toward divinity.

The World in your future indicates unlimited potential put into experienced hands: the opportunity of a lifetime. Its image literally states “the sky’s the limit”. If you have been waiting for your chance, this will be IT. You will have the tools to accomplish your goal, and the door will be open. The World is a card of action. Of all the Major Arcana, only the first (The Fool) and the last (The World) show movement. While The Fool is like the dawn of creation and its promise, the World is like the hallmark of self-actualization. The benefits in store for you are truly as limitless as the cosmos this card represents.

changing dimensions is motivated emotional negotiation as in:
reason to change must fit (satisfy) that which you change into

that being said there is up, down, left and right in all dimensions but no ceiling, floor or walls
so you never need to change dimension to never experience the same thing twice
but you do need to change dimension when your motive for being within a dimension expires, which is always at the dimensions determination

Re: X Marks the Spot
Religion and folklore
Ancient Greek red-figure ram rhyton, ca. 460-450 BC. From Anavyssos. National Archaeological Museum, Athens.

In antiquity, symbolism involving sheep cropped up in religions in the ancient Near East, the Mideast, and the Mediterranean area: Çatalhöyük, ancient Egyptian religion, the Cana'anite and Phoenician tradition, Judaism, Greek religion, and others. Religious symbolism and ritual involving sheep began with some of the first known faiths: skulls of rams (along with bulls) occupied central placement in shrines at the Çatalhöyük settlement in 8,000 BCE.[150] In Ancient Egyptian religion, the ram was the symbol of several gods: Khnum, Heryshaf and Amun (in his incarnation as a god of fertility).[6] Other deities occasionally shown with ram features include: the goddess Ishtar, the Phoenician god Baal-Hamon, and the Babylonian god Ea-Oannes.[6] In Madagascar, sheep were not eaten as they were believed to be incarnations of the souls of ancestors.[151]

There are also many ancient Greek references to sheep: that of Chrysomallos, the golden-fleeced ram, continuing to be told through into the modern era. Astrologically, Aries, the ram, is the first sign of the classical Greek zodiac and the sheep is also the eighth of the twelve animals associated with the 12-year cycle of in the Chinese zodiac, related to the Chinese calendar.[151] In Mongolia, shagai are an ancient form of dice made from the cuboid bones of sheep that are often used for fortunetelling purposes.

Sheep play an important role in all the Abrahamic faiths; Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, King David and the Islamic prophet Muhammad were all shepherds. According to the Biblical story of the Binding of Isaac, a ram is sacrificed as a substitute for Isaac after an angel stays Abraham's hand (in the Islamic tradition, Abraham was about to sacrifice Ishmael). Eid al-Adha is a major annual festival in Islam in which sheep (or other animals) are sacrificed in remembrance of this act.[152][153] Sheep are also occasionally sacrificed to commemorate important secular events in Islamic cultures.[154] Greeks and Romans also sacrificed sheep regularly in religious practice, and Judaism also once sacrificed sheep as a Korban (sacrifice), such as the Passover lamb .[151] Ovine symbols—such as the ceremonial blowing of a shofar—still find a presence in modern Judaic traditions. Followers of Christianity are collectively often referred to as a flock, with Christ as the Good Shepherd, and sheep are an element in the Christian iconography of the birth of Jesus. Some Christian saints are considered patrons of shepherds, and even of sheep themselves. Christ is also portrayed as the Sacrificial lamb of God (Agnus Dei) and Easter celebrations in Greece and Romania traditionally feature a meal of Paschal lamb. In many Christian traditions, a church leader is called the pastor, which is derived from the Latin word for shepherd.
