i did the same as a kid, we all did, re enacted the noble role of battle in the current costumes of the day
everyone was pleased we were normal to do so
society then expected us to stop when we became a little older and only utilize our fighting skills when our government ordered us to fight
funny that, being born into a society structured to fight
Quoting: aether True. But I see it more as a society structured to obey. We are natural fighters. The government trains us to be benign enough to obey; but when true war breaks out they suddenly want to train us to unleash the beast within us. In times of 'peace' they fail to keep us totally benign. So they invent perceived social issues to keep us aimed at one another. In times of 'war' they simply pull the cultural social differences from the facade and place it out front. Then they let us unleash our frustration with them on another peoples equally frustrated with their own government. It's a clever game. I don't understand why they want to end it so soon. Global government is just a bubble that will unavoidable grow and pop without a perceived outside culture to focus our dissatisfaction on. That is, as long as petty tyrants stand at the pinnacle of perceived power...or as long as we continue to fail to understand that we are at war within ourselves. Quoting: Jonny Blaze To toss in my too (S)cents. Fighting is created from stifled creative urge. The laying atop of one potential for another. Artificial scarcity not only creates fear but a looping agenda that self justifies and frustrates. This creates the desired aggression and vector. Quoting: Dionysian Fullaflattus True. I would add that artificial scarcity is not so artificial when applied to the average mortal man trapped in his own perceptions while discarding the possibility of his unavoidable and perhaps imminent encounter with death. Quoting: Jonny Blaze And oddly enough our epicurean society has created an aversion to death over all else. Imo, making truth a pale agenda second to survival. Rather Ironic since it is unavoidable. But, it quite glaringly shows us the agenda inside of this Bedlam.
