I would think so...

Following this train of thought then...Man's energy whether intended toward the positive vs. non-positive could and perhaps DOES push Natural disasters.

Or, instead perhaps the Earth communicates said distress to the sensitive who then pick up on the vibe and translate it accordingly.

I would assume if either the case, both would occur.
