SE is the directionality (within the realm of greater Egypt) which encompasses the transition from lunar to solar mysteries. West is the directionality of transition to the Apuat way; the descent into the realm of the dead and the valley of the shadow clearly delineated by the setting and rising sun. Sounds like Egyptian Book of the Dead...(?) It relates directly to the schools of initiation and there placement in direct relation to the proximity of Alexandria as a commercial center.
