Re: X Marks the Spot
Another fun night of lucid dreaming. No intentions, no work, just trying things out to see how far I can push things.

Lovely.
 Quoting: Saptaparna

Dude, I had this crazy dream the other night that Texas A&M shocked the world and rolled the tide back as if we had the moon in our hands. Johnny Football was dancing around and making it rain. He was juggling the football and throwing darts down field with impunity. Meanwhile, our defense acted as if they remembered what the 'wrecking crew' was.

Oh wait. That's right. That really happened.

Gig'em!
The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank."

The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects.

The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard.
The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass.

I hope it continues as well. I am fairly sure it will not, as I have always been one where my introspection creates a type of slight depression, yet introspection is my way of life. I used to be able to drown it out by surfing and snowboarding and off shore fishing etc...being a free soul. But, i am used to the swings and my introspection doesn't create the painful stuff anymore. More of a slight anxiety and curiosity.

Mine perhaps a bit less interesting or entertaining than Saps or Fringe.

I felt like I had something burned out of me last night. Not painful but very sweaty.

I don't get night sweats, and it has been years since the last time and I was sick.

Morning JB.

Do you ever get pain transfer from dreams into waking reality?

Like for instance,

I had a dream some years ago that I watched a truck being dropped from the sky, which I somehow knew contained an atomic bomb.

When I turned to run, the heat from the blast melted the skin on the back of my arms.

The pain was so searing and intense it woke me, and continued for many seconds after I woke.

But then it just faded and was gone.

As a child I would have dreams of walking barefoot over broken glass. I would then have to sit down and pull all the shards out of the bottoms of my feet. The pain was intense with those dreams as well.

Morning Seer. ;)

I can't remember any specific instance of pain transference. However, often times if I have a headache I am aware of it while I am dreaming. I sort of drift in and out of consciousness knowing that I am in pain. I try to avoid waking up to avoid waking up to the pain, I think.

On Saturday morning, I knew I had this headache during my last dream. I was dreaming that I was with some people somewhere. I got separated from them and I felt that they were about to leave in the car we arrived in. However, to get back to the car I had to go through this maze like place. Since I was in a hurry, I felt like I couldn't move my dreaming body very well. It was excruciatingly slow.

I came upon this divide in a hallway. I took the left side knowing it was a mistake. And as I walked the hallway took a 90 degree turn left. Upon turning the corner, I saw a stairway up. For some reason, this let me know for sure that I had taken the wrong way. I went back to the divide and took the right side. Again, the hallway turned left, but this time there were no stairs. Just a long hallway that looked like it went straight for a distance.

Then I woke up to my punched in the face headache.

Both the mouth and bottom of the feet are quite sensitive areas.

Interesting dream.

Do you feel like you are being faced with an important choice of late?

I resonate with your dream as well.

Especially the timing.

Why do you feel like the right turn was the right choice?

Would you have even known about the left if you had chosen the right, first?

What was it about the stairs UP which made you feel like you had made a wrong turn and had to turn back and retrace your steps, for a 'long hallway' instead?

Re: X Marks the Spot

Interesting dream.

Do you feel like you are being faced with an important choice of late?

I resonate with your dream as well.

Especially the timing.

Excellent questions.

There isn't really a 'important choice' that I feel I have to make. I am jobless right now and have been for 2 years now. Perhaps the choice to truly put myself out there and put significant effort into finding a job is what the choice signifies.

I think the feeling of the left route being 'wrong' came immediately after I chose it. I kept going a few moments longer to make sure it was wrong.

I don't know why the stairs confirmed my suspicions. Logically thinking about it, I should have taken the stairs to perhaps get a better view of the maze I was dealing with. I knew that the car was somewhere to the right of me.

The 'long hallway' may not have been the right direction. Since it occurred after a 90 degree left turn, it would have been taking me away from the car...my goal.

Perhaps this is why I woke up? Frustration?

The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank."

The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects.

The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard.
The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass.
