The Juan de Fuca Plate is one of the worlds smallest plates. It is located offshore of Washington, Oregon, Northern California, and southern British Columbia. Like any plate, the edges of the Juan de Fuca plate experience slow but constant motion. Most earthquakes of the Pacific northwest outline the plate. Telluric: Of or relating to Earth; terrestrial.The sensation was quite distinct and not one I am use to feeling. So I decided to check USGS to see the pressure on the plates, by examining the balance of earthquakes on either side of the Ring of Fire. I am always impressed when I see little Juan de Fuca holding itself up against so much more massive plates. I always thought the plate looked like a pregnant woman and also the Morton Salt girl. I was looking up the image of said when I saw your reply. :) yes that is it`s modern name abyss, underworld etc appear to be previous labels Why differentiate?
