Yes, makes sense to have two. One, and the mirror or shadow.

One year ago today, I 'clicked' IV's Secrets thread for the first time.

I believe it was 139 pages in at that point.

As 'ask me a question' threads, I tended to avoid.

Either way...

toxoplasmosis sounds like bunk to me. What if you have two cats? How would the mind control work then? Would the 'dominant' cat have control all the time? What about when the dominant house cat was asleep, yet the frisky troublemaking slightly younger and lesser dominant cat was on the prowl. Would it suddenly have control over you?

The theory runs into problems when the situation gets complicated. If would have to work in a subtle way or else cat mind control would be acceptable to the 'main stream' of 'common knowledge'. I just don't believe it exists.

Attention, awareness, focus. For a disciplined and aware individual, it is quite obvious who has the stronger force of awareness and willpower. (hint: it isn't the house cat).

I believe it has something to so with them being guardians of the Underworld.

Ah. Thanks, seer. I haven't been too far away. Just been taking a break from my GLP routine for awhile.

Yes. I'm not denying that house cats don't have a special awareness, unique in a spiritual sense. I have always been a cat person. I have had cats around me all my life.

I have two cats right now. Dogs usually like me too. I like dogs, but I feel natural with a house cat around.

They can certainly affect our mood. And we can most certainly affect theirs. When we picked out our second cat, I 'captured' three of the litter out at my wife's parents farm. They were pretty much barn cats, and were not tame as kittens. We brought them home for a week. During the week, we let them stay in the back room and they mostly hid under the bed.

I took each one of them out once during the week, and tried to calm it down and hold it to see if I could get it to purr. We had a favorite already picked out, so I chose him first. I got him to purr in about 5 minutes. The other two didn't purr, but we had pretty much already decided on the first one. During the week he was the bravest kitten, coming out of the back room from time to time to explore. He was also the smallest of the three.

We took the two others back to the farm. The thing I learned was that sometimes there is a connection. He was obviously more interested in the house life than his brother and sister, so he sorta chose to live with us.

Cats are so much more interesting than most people realize.

The mouse ran up the clock...

The connection I held with my cat Sebastian who died 11 days and a year ago, was unlike any I ever held with any human.


I miss him everyday...

I wish I had an easy link of a pic to Malachy. He is my older cat. For me, he is like Sebastian was for you. He is my fav. all time. He is like my shadow.

His eyes...I wish I had a good picture of them available.

They would stop people when they walked into my house.



My first memory of him actually...

I was in college and I had pensed on getting a pet for years.

I finally decided to get one and went to the pet store.

There was a new batch of kitten which had just arrived.


When I walked up to the cage, this tiny grey kitten looked up at me and made eye contact with me like you can't believe.

I was taken aback, but I was there for an 'orange' kitten.


His brother was orange. I played with his brother for a bit and decided to think about it.

The next day I went back and the grey kitten remained.

I suddenly remembered our first moment and knew it was fate.


I had him with me for amazing 12 years. And nursed him through 3 months of ugliness I won't write here.

I felt like...it was not my right to take his life. So I saw him through it.

To very end. And he died in his own time. While I watched.

Even in those last moments of pain there was love and appreciation. You did the right thing. I would never put Maly down. I would give him dope intravenously and feed him his favorite kitty treats if it came down to it.

You know...something strange I have always wanted to mention but never have.


In the last 10 minutes or so, I prayed to God that He would take him.

As I was bend over him, I had this miniature orange tree, that I had had for years, directly behind me.

I live in a renovated 2 car carport so there is not a lot of room.


Anyway...

The day after he died, I noticed that the orange tree, the part that was directly behind me, was dead.

1/3 of it.

I looked at it, and thought, there is so little room in here, that 'Death' had to squeeze past me and touched the orange tree.

It died completely within weeks.

Interesting story. Funny enough, we bought a small rosemary bush about a month ago. I have always had good luck with rosemary's in the past. But this one died on me about two weeks ago.

Death. You pretend it is some far off thing that won't be happening to you any time soon. Yet, it is always around...just out of the reach of our senses.

I certainly do not...

I barely eat. I barely take in anything.

But yet, I am satiated...

How?


Am I sick?

Am I the very opposite?


Who is to say?

It was meant simply as a rhetorical statement that I was applying to the average man/woman living in the modern world.

The statement itself wasn't intended to be directed at you. Actually, it was more directed at me. Forgive my self directed observations. Sometimes they are too ambiguous.

What do you think about what I said though?

I mean...the loss of desire for food is extreme.

I dunno if I am the best place to go for advice on this. I once fasted myself into a psychotic episode.

I think perhaps you have defeated hunger. Someone who has defeated hunger no longer eats because they are hungry. They eat because they are not hungry.

So, I suppose for those who have done it, eating is something they are determined to do to keep themselves strong. I myself like to maintain my weight just at the point of fat burning/fat storage. Finding the point where you can affect your metabolism by a slight change in how much you eat/burn calories is a good place to be.

Eating too much is no harder than not eating enough. People are usually disposed towards one of the two extremes. Being able to set a routine to consciously manage it and having the will to enforce it is one sign of a disciplined mind.

That's not to say there aren't those with strong wills who are overweight though.

As of now.


In the beginning it was not.

There was NO hunger.

None.


I had to relearn hunger.


It's much better now...

Yes. I know what you mean. That's what happens when you beat hunger. It disappears for a time. Only a madman wouldn't notice that. ;)

Not as easily explained to family and friends however...




Together we stand...

Sometimes I think on connections made with others and when I do eye c them as a vortex or spiral, a new nueral pathway a node in the grid of consciousness for me to connect to.

I look at key words that jump out to me and they lead me on a path of understanding that seems to make sense and it feels like it only makes sense to me this way, for others another way.

Answers jump out yet the understanding of the answers can take months to sink in, longer even at times...years.

Often it is in my dreams were it gets resolved.

We all have our methods of understanding and absorbing information, just one look at a page and you have unconsciously taken in information that you were not focused on.

Later to be used and you think to yourself "how do I know that".

Don't even bother trying, IMO, at least if your blood family is anything like mine. The more personal history you share with them, the less likely they are to view you as a force of change with the ability to force change in others.
