...Ah, adding more detail to visually define motion. Why addition of 2 pi, though? 2 pi radius is the circumference of a circle. But, you're not talking about that. Oh...I think I gotcha. 2 pi being the two inversion points of the 8. One on each side of the eight defining the circles. >8< where the >< is pointing to where the inversion points occur, collapsing in towards pi (singularity point). OR, you are just using the 2 pi to describe the two spheres. It is the second one, I think. Either way, it is pi collapsing into infinity through the inversion places of the laterally spinning torus.
