The topics here can be somewhat abstract.
The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank."

The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects.

The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard.
The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass.

that is the way we are going

our "opener of the way" showed it`s connectivity to archetypes of unknown design because they had been forgotten by ancestors of ours in more recent times thus we bridged very ancient past/memory to ancient past memory and in doing so enlivened the very ancient memory within our present
this gave us direct access to our very ancient ancestors and visitors in a manner which we believe to be natural because our introduction to them was conducted by our opener of ways whom itself was witness to both forgotten and remembered history and was instructed/constructed to do what it has done when the input signal matched it`s designed recognition signal as in:
opener of way would not and could not open the way unless the opener knew it was time/location to open

Opening the ways sounds like it would be incredibly dangerous.

What if shit went terribly wrong? Opening the wrong way could be a disaster.

In that case, if one acting alone had the ability to open a way, then it is one's obligation to open the best way possible.

Then the bit with the gesalt pertaining to noise as well.

Well a filter does what?

A coffee filter for example keeps the grounds out of your coffee while still allow the water to flow through.

Without said filter, one would be contending with the undesirable sludge of the unfiltered bean.

Mmmm...the sun is coming up and its all pink over the Bay.
