"God our Father, as we elapses centuries, we see more clearly your action in the world. Actually, you'm a faithful God and you act with force and power in the history of men, shaken by so many contradictions. But you lead your people through the ages. Furniture men's hearts to find peace. And suscitais according to the needs of every age, people can read the entrails of time, empowered people with your old promises, but always new.

So, Lord, today we humbly implore you: the example of Santa Rosa, let our life a conversion time of faithfulness to God and love of peace."

Rose of Lima

Rose of Lima, T.O.S.D., (April 20, 1586 – August 24, 1617) was the first person born in the Americas to be canonized by the Catholic Church.............

...............In her twentieth year she donned the habit of a tertiary and took the vow of perpetual virginity for which she had longed. She donned a heavy crown made of silver, with small spikes on the inside, in emulation of the Crown of Thorns worn by Christ.

For eleven years this self-martyrdom continued without relaxation, with intervals of ecstasy, until she died on August 24, 1617, at the age of 31, having prophesied the date of her death exactly. Her funeral was held in the cathedral, attended by all the public authorities of Lima, and it was the archbishop himself who gave her eulogy.

she appears to have not been able to convey her altered state into and within the then current belief authority authority

i`m getting
good heart
no outlet for her emotions
that made sense to her
so she went all the way
with what existed to express herself the only way she saw
somehow she missed entirely the culture she was in
and everything nature and her environment told her

Saint Teresa had this same issue as well. Her writings are amazing in seeing how they would not accept what she was experiencing.
