Yes, I have considered they were considered giants due to the average height at the time. As Abe Lincoln was, not too very long ago. Myself, being small, often feel I stand next to 'giants'. One time in particular, I was at a 7-11 standing next to a football player. I felt a 7 y/o in his presence.
