About 11 years ago I broke my foot. Cast went to just below the knee.

When the doctor went to finally take the cast off with his cast saw, the saw didn't work properly.

Doc began cutting the cast off and about 2 inches into it, the saw didn't stop sawing like it is supposed to. As he was cutting off the cast, the saw was cutting into my leg.

I told him he was cutting me, and he said that that is impossible. "The way the saw works it is absolutely impossible that I can be cutting you. It's your imagination."

So, he continued down the first side. When the saw ran over my ankle bone, I wanted to punch him in the head soooooo bad. That fucking hurt.

I told him again that it was cutting me, and he tried to take a peak into the cast to see blood. Of course, he didn't, because the saw oscillates so fast it was cauterizing it as he was cutting.

He still refused to believe me that it was cutting me. So, I just shut up. My revenge was going to be to look him straight in the eye and not say a thing when he finally got the cast off and that it had indeed been cutting me.

Down the other side...cut/cauterize...fuck, ankle bone again. Cast fell off.

"That's impossible," he said. He wouldn't look at me. He mumbled that 40 years in the medical field and he has never, ever, ever heard of a cast saw not working properly.

He walked out of the room without another word, and never once looked at me.
