I have always felt the pull to watch my choices closely... Watching ones own thoughts, a much more difficult task indeed. What is a thought once entertained?  some religious texts say if in negative aspect it is sin I believe one can most certainly 'sin' in thought. I believe that is how it is entertained most often...then if one allows oneself, they perform that action the thought aroused... Desire pull Will push Our our thoughts our own? Are we measured by those as well? As thought often creates action when it is impulsive, more often self serving and damaging. Most fold to temptation on a whim, or in the 'heat of the moment'. I think its intertwined with emotions. And like emotions they can jump from person to person and become amplified. Like someone near could be thinking thoughts and it affect/effect the others near.
