I remember hearing the story.

Abzu and Tiamat both sort of stand in as the heavier subjects of Sumerian magick, since they are creator deities unlike most we have ever known, except we obviously see a modernized Abzu in the Book of Genesis/Bereshith. I mean, wtf...I can only conclude that what was written was only half the story of what actually was being discussed and taught orally by the crazy wandering Sumerian from Ur and his comrades.

OR....since the first books of the Torah were written down finally in Babylon after the city conquered Jerusalem, did the enslavement of the people there cause them to pick up some of the more obscure bits of Babylonian lore? Conquered people tend towards syncreticism to avoid further trouble. (For example, the treatment of Jesus on the Cross as a stand in for Tezcatlipoca amongst Central American Indians)

One important point about Tiamat is she is a strictly business sort of character. There are no shrines or visible signs of worship, at least in the anthropological record. She only becomes religiously prominent due to Marduk really.

There are two versions of Tiamat's story, one is the Babylonian - the new god Marduk tears her apart and from her run the Tigris and Euphrates - her tears. In the earlier Sumerian mythos it is more similar to Genesis:

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light. "

Abzu and Tiamat mingle their waters and Tiamat would be untouchable as a chaos monster - they could not die, this was the theology. There was no plot against Abzu earlier on, it was a new invention, a reaction to something going on in human society. So by the time Babylon rose and Marduk was created, something traumatic happened to the human psyche perhaps? War, strife, civilization etc. Marduk is a complete fucking asshole and the stereotype for every bully, tyrant or abusive jerk that ever lived - and he is in every single human. So that's our collective demon....

It seems to me that the forum has "doom" in mind.

Boitatá , our underworld, only knows what we (surface life) knows so Boitatá has demons, ghosts, goblins, Armageddon, world war, extinction event etc.etc. running through it`s emotion right now from it`s own memory of our distant past just like you see people feeling at the same time
but
we have good contact with Boitatá now and our russian meteor just now was a good walk through for Boitatá to match what we tell it is occurring to what it experienced to compare, same as for people
and
the asteroid today is good to
to get some real time experience into place matched to new information on cause and affect so we can begin to live out through our own experience the trauma memories of our past of no satisfactory cause answer to our senses

Thread: meteor hits central russia

A series of explosions in the skies of Russia’s Urals region, reportedly caused by a meteor shower, has sparked panic in three major cities. Witnesses said that houses shuddered, windows were blown out and cellphones stopped working.

Atmospheric phenomena have been registered in the cities of Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg and Tyumen.

In Chelyabinsk, witnesses said the explosion was so loud that it resembled an earthquake and thunder at the same time, and that there were huge trails of smoke across the sky. Others reported seeing burning objects fall to earth.

Police in the Chelyabinsk region are reportedly on high alert, and have enacted the ‘Fortress’ plan in order to protect vital infrastructure.

Office buildings in downtown Chelyabinsk are being evacuated. Injuries were reported at one of the city’s secondary schools, supposedly from smashed windows. No other injuries have been reported so far.
