Re: X Marks the Spot
over the past several months, 6 to 9 times i estimate, before i sleep with my eyes open in the dark within a state of thought a very loud crack sound, similar to a pistol being fired inside my brain/head ,sounds off in an instant

no sensation or light only sound very loud

the last one a week ago was the loudest yet and i sat up amazed how accurately it mimicked a gunshot inside my head in the instant
 Quoting: aether

oh
i now know what it is
sound barrier exceeded
by what though

If you were to slow to subsonic speeds, the boom can catch up to you, and you would hear it.
 Quoting: observation

arrival
oh
i`ve had that before but not since someone i knew would visit

this must be someone i know

haha

that is funny

When you hear these are they in 'hollow space'?

Or IOW, not subject to the walls or ceiling 'pops'. But 'out of thin air' if you will...

Outside ones Self. Say a couple feet away. No more than 2m.

hmm
 Quoting: Seer777

i think i have answered it
the sound is within and outside as in sound around , i cant tell if it is one or the other in/out

I have also experienced something similar while meditating....

At a certain point of 'relaxation' I'll sometime get a bright flash of white light and at the same time hear and feel a lightening bolt 'crack' as it would sound in extremely close proximity.

This has happened several times and I can always count on an interesting 'session' following this experience.

Interesting.

You hear this outside yourself?

Physical manifestation of sound IOW?

We have spoken of this a bit in this thread.

Hard to determine really....both within and without...no 'echo' though...like one would hear 'without' oneself...

And aether's experience I have had as well...with what sounds exactly like a gunshot or cannon .... and no light...

Interesting conclusion he came to.....

Was the light a physical manifestation of the sound?

Outside as if viewed with ones eyes?

Or internally as if the sound created a light response within you?

Re: X Marks the Spot
which makes me think about a question (unanswered) that i posed to my healer in october of last year:

"how does the mind see?" i meant like eyes do.

i am a craftsman/artist by trade and i have a lot of experience with visualization. Nothing unusual, mind you, just close the eyes and 'pictue' stuff: morph shapes and move them around, see how they fit.. all the normal stuff: quite useful and a skill that can be developed by anyone.

well on this particular october day, i was in a bit of state, having not slept more than 5 or 6 sleep cycles in as many days and the night before my session with my healer i had had the single most surreal night of my life.

now mind you, i am no stranger to the drug induced surreal having had quite a number of hallucinatory experiences in a wide verity of conditions, many of them with what many people would describe as an overwhelming amount of outside visual/auditory stimulous: i like it that way.

but on this particular night i was au natural and in a waking nightmare, experiencing the halucigentic effects (twisting open vision and all the rest: no big deal, just odd cuz i didn't have any of the associated and familiar (to me) drug 'side effects'. and therefore trully surreal (to me).

anyway the truly strange part was when i closed my eyes i could *see* stuff: not like my creative visulisations, but actual *seeing*. hence the question: how can the mind "see".

what i saw terrified me and so ensued yet another sleepless night.

of course the real surprise was the next night after my needle session...

still don't know the answer, mind you.

Interesting as I read something Dion provided the other day regarding neutrinos(I think). After having it in my tabs since that day, I just closed it 2 or so hours ago.

Essentially, it said something along the lines that, you can go your whole life and not have a neutrino hit every cell within your body.

I found that intriguing and now it resurfaces. I had an 'ah ha' moment when I read it.

Perhaps he will return and provide the article again.

'Simultaneous' under that type of probability, would be a near impossibility.

It seems.

Neutrons don't disperse. They effect the neutron effectively creating a proton and free electron.

A half spin.

yes you are correct, bad language on my part. it does decay but that decay does release energy

no a nuetrino ceases to exist. it energy merely disperses.
nuetrino are produced by the Sun. if a nuetrino happens to disperse inside ones head, i would venture to say that it would produce an experiences similar to a brief electrical hot charge.

It seems.

Muons are negatively charged as are tau and with neutrinos make up leptons.

Causal interactions and transient exchanges.

No worries, As with mythology, science is explaining all these interactions in 3's. That, to me, is the significance as it binds the language and visualization of effect to a near poetic common.

Nah, that would be uncalled for. I'm just an ex tech with too much time on my hands.

I figure if we make it easy enough for me to understand; these seven billion monkeys can get busy typing the script of novelty and I can spend my time lolling in the garden.

Re: X Marks the Spot
which makes me think about a question (unanswered) that i posed to my healer in october of last year:

"how does the mind see?"
i meant like eyes do.

i am a craftsman/artist by trade and i have a lot of experience with visualization.

I watched this some years back and I remember it bending my perception regarding.

After all these years, this was on my Mind after the 'pin pong ball' and the brain being in the 'dark'.

hmmm: long. i'll watch in a bit with dinner.

i was wishing for something to watch not minutes ago...

thnx seeStar

hmmmm.

didnt watch the whole thing, kinda skipping about... i am familiar with all the concepts and the idea os life as a simple manifistaion of perception (which i don't agree with) and that there is no 'physical' reality.

i am pretty sure there is one tho, just modified by perception, not created by it.

and yes i understand the whole seeing is in the brain thing, but the perception is like a tv screen and there has to be a source: no source, no perception.

and what i remember of my dreams are like mash up recordings, utilizing the memory of percived real objects to create a non linear dialog.

i dunno: what i saw rely neither like memory, perception, or dreams...

but i was seeing, not imagining.

bleh

thanks tho
