I didn't really enjoy either. As find this type of medium to do little other than cause people to fear that which may be labeled as the 'paranormal'.

It seems, people are inherently drawn to this topic, often due to an unexplainable experience.

Which most likely caused fear or deep curiosity at the time.

To find that moment again, one will attempt to 're-create' it artificially through cinema, books, gaming, etc. How the paranormal is often portrayed today would lead one to believe more in the fear than the curiosity. Yet that remains as well.

The 'fear' aspect gets ingrained with the 'creep' factor often due to the types musical effects utilized during 'scary scenes'.

Which is then can be automatically expressed when confronting a true paranormal event that one may witness.

Most will stand dumbfounded and either dismiss it entirely, tell only select people, or never say a word...

I happen to think that movies like "Paranormal Activity" are frightening to "the masses" due to a complete lack of fear tolerance/experience.
