Since the topic of trees resurfaced I thought I would share.



Just outside my backdoor is a place I often sit. My vantage point allows me to look out over the shop and to the houses beyond.

In the neighbors yard perhaps a few house over was a massive evergreen.

At least 7 stories tall.

This tree, looked to me like a gigantic dwarf, or gnome. He had a pointed hat, a beard, full face and an arm at what would be waist height, sticking out appearing to give the 'thumbs up' sign.

I have spent the last year looking on it and feeling it a bit of a guardian.

I nearly took a picture the other day to show you all how much it resembled a gigantic dwarf...



When I returned from the beach this last time I was struck to find the tree missing.

Completely gone.

Almost like it never existed.
