Thread: Astronomers Find Ancient Star 'Methuselah' Which Appears To Be Older Than The Universe

[link to www.huffingtonpost.co.uk]

Scientists have discovered an "impossible" star which appears to be older than the universe.

The mysterious star Methuselah appears to be between 14 and 15 billion years old - a bit of an issue considering the universe itself is known to have come into existence 13.8 billion years ago.

Oddly enough, Methuselah is even located inside our own galaxy - about 190 light years away.

And even after using new information about the star's distance from us, its brightness and its structure, scientists are unable to place an estimate of its age much below 14.5 billion years - still older than the universe.

Fortunately for the team from Pennsylvania State University and the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, there appears to be a margin of error of about 800 million years, or so - enough to just barely place the star below the age of everything else, if peace of mind is important to you.

yesterday afternoon i had a telephone conversation and the agreement was the person i was talking was going to do some things today and based on the result , write an e-mail

20 minutes ago i rang them to hear progress and the guy was surprised i had called telling me, "i told you all this yesterday" as in
why are you calling me
i reminded them of our plan to talk again today and i could tell he only half believes it because he has not memory of what we agreed
so i took him through it again and he has agreed again to what he has no memory off

that was odd enough tounge

but then he told me what he had been doing today
and
i know he and i have had that conversation before , as in:
there is no doubt in my mind he has told be before of his complex sequence of personal events involving his car, which occurred to him today , a long time ago in my past
now
i have known this guy a long time it is true but what happened to him today has only occurred today, never in our past

so

he does not remember the detail of our conversation of yesterday and acted like it never occurred
and
i have listened to him tell me what happened to him today, 3.8.2013, at some time a long time before today

good choice for a morning when people and the ides of march seem to me to be dancing strongly
 Quoting: aether

Good morning aether...

Ides of March.

In modern times, the term Ides of March is best known as the date on which Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 B.C.E. Caesar was stabbed (23 times) to death in the Roman Senate by a group of conspirators led by Marcus Junius Brutus and Gaius Cassius Longinus.

It is said that on ides of March the sea succumbs to chaos and the full moon brings high tides. All these points give the Ides of March a very mysterious quality.[2]

According to Plutarch, a seer had foreseen that Caesar would be harmed not later than the Ides of March; and on his way to the Theatre of Pompey (where he would be assassinated), Caesar met the seer and joked, "The ides of March have come," meaning to say that the prophecy had not been fulfilled, to which the seer replied

"Aye, Caesar; but not gone."

This meeting is famously dramatised in William Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar, when Caesar is warned by the soothsayer to "beware the Ides of March."

Speaking of March madness, found this and it is interesting:

[link to www.daykeeperjournal.com]

March of 2013 witnesses a very rare alignment of celestial heavy-hitters, namely an Isosceles Trapezoid. This highly symmetrical pattern keys off the ongoing Uranus/Pluto square, the defining aspect of our times, although the next point at which these two will be exactly squared is not until May. Filling out the pattern are sextile aspects from each end of the square, joined by inconjunct, with two additional inconjuncts forming an internal “X” from the four corners of the trapezoid.

Essentially, this pattern is composed of two interlocked Yods, bound together by a stressful square.

as well as this, Saturn-Pluto Mutual Reception
[link to starcosmosmysticworlds.wordpress.com]

Before we start with the mutual reception between Saturn and Pluto it would be better to try to comprehend its substantial meaning as simply as we can.The simultaneous movement of two planets where one moves in the sign of the sovereignty of another is being called”mutual reception” in astrology. In this case Saturn(ruler of Capricorn) is at the zodiac sign of Scorpio while att he same time Pluto is at the zodiac sign of Capricorn (ruler of Scorpio). These planets co-operate each other in a very intense way which is similar to the conjunction energy aspect. And that is happening because the principles of the zodiac signs and the planets, in a sense, merge acting in concert.

Which last time this happened was in 1777 so it is very rare.
