Or maybe you just need some good prompts. What makes you want to talk, rant about past events? Talking about maybe. Or find a movie that has the same feel to you.

I think the problem is that I only have one layer of what it takes to write a novel. I have a theme. But to tell a good story, one has to have a great character. I don't want this character to be too much like me. Perhaps I need to incorporate some of the emotional elements that are currently driving me. Perhaps the character needs to come from a wealthy family and have his father die during the sequence of events. Perhaps the sequence needs to be changed. I haven't worked it out yet. I see it like this... You can tune your emotion with music. If you want to be happy, play music that makes you feel happy. It also works with movies. It is why I like anime. The Japanese think, develop their characters. So just watch a few movies, or youtube the character feel. Then get ready to write ;-)
