My best friend during my teens and early twenties suddenly told me one day he was considering joining the Marines.

This was in 2000. As we sat in his car arguing over his choice, I said to him that war was coming and that if he chose to enlist he would face said.

He laughed at me.

He joined the Marines, and I supported him for it after he made the choice. Even flying down to San Diego to see him 'graduate'.


On 9/11/01 it was his message on the answering machine which woke me.

By that time the towers had already fallen.



He served 3 combat duties, and came back with the scars to show for it...

She went today and shaked her head until the cone came off...I have been watching her...she is cleaing the incision and other parts she has not been able too...but she's not messing with anything....so that's just really good. I mean...I can't afford another visit..and yes I do...and no more worrying lol

Awww Seer yes thank you honey :)...they come to me when are meant to...all almost died...I used to have fish too big gold fish...but unfortunate accident. Brand new bottle of fish food right...and we feed them they died from some sort of defective bottle contaminated with Bleach. We tried everything to keep them alive. Almost 3 years I had them anyway you can imagine what bleach would do to fish...I can't bear to get anymore...but I love them...I could stare at them for so long lol

He was with me before I got into my relationship.

One in which 'pets' were not just dismissed, but frowned upon.

Once he passed in 2011, there was no longer an option to get another pet.
