Stimulants work a bit different on me it seems.

For example, I can drink coffee and go right to sleep, no problem.

Also, the original Sudafed would put me in a hours long coma.

Dopaminergic
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Main article: Dopamine

Dopaminergic means "related to dopamine", a common neurotransmitter in vertebrates.[1]

For example, certain proteins such as the dopamine transporter (DAT), vesicular monoamine transporter 2 (VMAT2), and dopamine receptors can be classified as dopaminergic, and neurons which synthesize or contain dopamine and synapses with dopamine receptors in them may also be labeled as dopaminergic.

Enzymes which regulate the biosynthesis or metabolism of dopamine such as aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase (AAAD) or DOPA decarboxylase (DDC), monoamine oxidase (MAO), and catechol O-methyl transferase (COMT) may be referred to as dopaminergic as well.

Lastly, any endogenous or exogenous chemical substance which acts to affect dopamine receptors or dopamine release through indirect actions (for example, on neurons that synapse onto neurons that release dopamine or express dopamine receptors) can also be said to have dopaminergic effects, two prominent examples being opioids which enhance dopamine release indirectly in the reward pathways, and some substituted amphetamines, which enhance dopamine release directly by binding to, and inhibiting VMAT2.

Dopamine reuptake inhibitors (DRIs)
/ or dopamine transporter (DAT) inhibitors

...such as methylphenidate (Ritalin, Focalin, Concerta), bupropion (Wellbutrin, Zyban), amineptine (Survector, Maneon, Directin), and nomifensine (Merital, Alival), as well as cocaine (prescribed or street-sourced as cocaine-hcl ("Coke", "Powder") or as a freebase ("Freebase", "Crack"), methylenedioxypyrovalerone (MDPV; "Sonic"), ketamine (K; Ketalar, Ketanest, Ketaset; "Special-K", "Kit Kat", etc.), and phencyclidine (PCP; Sernyl; "Angel Dust", "Rocket Fuel", etc.), among others, which are used in the treatment of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy as psychostimulants, obesity as anorectics, depression and anxiety as antidepressants and anxiolytics, respectively, drug addiction as anticraving agents, and sexual dysfunction, as well as illicit street drugs.

Dopamine releasing agents (DRAs)

...such as amphetamine (Adderall, Dexedrine; "Speed"), lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse), methamphetamine (Desoxyn; "Meth", "Crank", "Crystal", etc.), methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA; "Ecstasy", "E", "X", "XTC", etc.), phenmetrazine (Preludin; "Prellies"), pemoline (Cylert), 4-methylaminorex (4-MAR; "Ice", "Euphoria", etc.), and benzylpiperazine (BZP; "Bennies", "A2", "Sunrise", "Frenzy", etc.), among many others, which, like DRIs, are used in the treatment of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy as psychostimulants, obesity as anorectics, depression and anxiety as antidepressants and anxiolytics, respectively, drug addiction as anticraving agents, and sexual dysfunction, as well as illicit street drugs.

As I mentioned last night on your thread, morphine and said have no effect on me.

When I was 18 I had an upper GI to determine once and for all what was wrong with my stomach.

Apparently, the doctors had trouble 'sedating' me and even under the sedation I was 'fighting' the camera.

When said test had been conducted, they could not 'pull me out of it'.

And required a quadruple dose of whatever they use to 'wake' the person up after.

Even then, I slept for hours after...

naughty

Condemnation without investigation is the height of ignorance...

Granted I have not used methamphetamine.

But I would if I could safely/purely obtain it.

In the United States it is prescribed as Desoxyn.

Frequently to small children.

...

Desoxyn usually finds success with individuals who have exhausted all other measures of treatment.

Those rare individuals usually speak highly of Desoxyn because they either

A.) could not tolerate any other stimulants or

B.) did not find any other stimulants effective.

At the end of the day, it's not worth trying to attain a prescription for Desoxyn unless you're one of those extremely rare individuals who actually requires it.

I was surprised she made the connection directly to me. Remember, we used to have the bedroom light turn on in the middle of the night for no reason? Well, we just kind of take these things in stride. It is like it is no mystery anymore, it just IS. Which has been that way for awhile with me, but to see her adjust to it as well is fun, and I am thankful she doesn't get weirded out by it.

She has toughened herself up quite a bit because of all the shit that has happened to me. She is used to all this weird stuff just because the weird stuff happens around me so much.

For example, when we first moved to Tennessee, I was out grilling in the rain. She was laughing at me and took a picture. Not through a window or anything, so there was no glare. But, there was this bright light immediately over my head, about the size of my head. No explanation...and she did not see it when she took the picture.

I'll have to find the picture.
