Re: X Marks the Spot
Did you see when I talked about my best friend here in Tennessee? He's an ex spec op and a mason. One night we were sitting around his backyard fire and he told me about a specific folder on my computer at my home office.

He said he was told by a 'friend' of his to tell me that, obviously so I knew they (whoever they are) are watching me. I had suspected it of course, but that was definite confirmation. Kind of spooky.

yeah, it's probably more a case of a lonely heart basement dweller with an obsession for the Septenary Man musk than it is from some super secret important government agency tracking supahewo guys online.

Your post triggered the memory of reading Dr. Brown's RV where he saw Mars 'people' travel to earth knowing that its atmosphere was being destroyed. In his RV he said he saw them, I think, down in Patagonia region, South America.

Yes I remember the story you told, I don't find it spooky, just more of an invasion of privacy without a good reason to do so. Gentlemen don't read others mail they say.

There are quite a few remote desktop tools that can access your computer which are on the open market let alone what security departments possess.

The most dangerous threat is hackers looking for banking info.

Good morning everyone.

I have a question. Many times over the months my laptop, while closed and I am sleeping will suddenly come to life and start playing music.

Granted the music playing is the last thing I went to bed listening to and the 'pause' button was not engaged, only the top is closed.

Last night it happened again at 4:39am in the morning. My partner said to me, "your laptop is hijacked".

I would like not to agree with him, so I am hoping someone here might be able to offer a reason why a closed and sleeping laptop would suddenly come to life on its own accord.

:)

seer777, without more details its hard to say but it sounds like your OS is old and probably a cluttered registry with some timing issues involved. could also be IR, WIFI, or BT interference related.

FWIW if its any M$ OS then its hijacked by default aswell as nearly all compatable programs for it.

if you havnt worried before, not much point now. to be secure and anonymous requires lots of study and even then its only temp at best.

GLP has some advanced Geeks though so if you want to start a thread with more details you will probably get lots of info.

My computer recently blue-screened, although only 7 months old at the time.

So the OS has been recently installed anew.

I also run Spybot and AVG.

If so, perhaps the IP thingy timed out

And it was pinged with a new address... 1dunno1

My apologies if that's been said already... I am a bit dumber than usual today.

I did the course years and years ago, what is interesting in hindsight was that the twin towers were one of the first practice targets, and this was years before they were hit.

I thought I was 'off target' probably like so many others after initial feedback.

Apparently through RV it was well known within certain circles there would be an incident at the towers but nobody knew when it would be.
