Laptop was completely shut and not plugged in. Password enabled to log in. WIFI is also locked down. My computer will also 'go to sleep' after 15 minutes of non-use(via settings) and will re-prompt the password in that case.  that is strange, I got nothing :I just make sure your WIFI has some sort of encryption though Thank you for trying Michael. I appreciate your efforts. When we were woken by it again, my partner said very matter-of-factly, "Someone has control of your laptop, it has been hijacked." He is not one to normally say such things under any circumstance. When I asked if it could be anything else, he said, no. It is what is it I suppose.
