I thought I was 'off target' probably like so many others after initial feedback. Apparently through RV it was well known within certain circles there would be an incident at the towers but nobody knew when it would be. I'm listening to an explanation of the control study right now, it's interesting how they set that up. I'd love to participate in a study like that! Have you done anything like that since? I haven't viewed for quite a few years now, it was at the start of my rv journey, cos it was free and I was a student, not a bad course either as an introduction (its probably been updated since I did it), I went on to learn other protocols like CRV and HRVG. It teaches you to understand how you as an individual perceives information, locally and remotely. “I’m sleeping, but my heart is keeping watch”. The Song of Songs. |

Would that matter? that got too long and complicated. I assume you have an account, and you need to log on with it, when starting windows right? if that prompt is active, windows cannot bypass it on it's own, you need a password to bypass it, and get to the actual desktop. the only way to bypass that, is by typing in the password you have for your account or using an admin account, most people do not have this setup on their private PC though. |

Would that matter? Not sure, I have only worked with remote desktop software, there you "take over" the control of the pc, seeing the actual desktop, seeing the same as the customer did, that would prompt for logon and password if that was enabled. in that case you would need either your password or admin password. when we did in my company, the customer or employee would need to log on to the citrix or the internal network, for us in support to connect. on a private pc, it is slightly different, the hacker would have to actually get to your computer via. ports, and you would have to open those first, if your using a decent router from your ISP. if your using a WIFI without any encryption, then it's a different matter. hmm was it completely closed? so it was shut off? or just "nearly" closed, to avoid the long reboot, when you had to start it again? if the screen saver/ logon prompt is active, there would be no way the pc could logon by itself Laptop was completely shut and not plugged in. Password enabled to log in. WIFI is also locked down. My computer will also 'go to sleep' after 15 minutes of non-use(via settings) and will re-prompt the password in that case.
