think of the strongest matterial as of Hardness Vs Bending resistance.

at 5 you have something like alluminum.

at 7 you have the strongest metal ever! Not only it's hard, it also resist slight bending modification.

at 10 you have diamonds. They are so hard that when you generate a shockwave on them, they have 0 bending capacity, dso they break apart like crystal.
