As a former soldier I don't particularly like seeing pictures of dead soldiers. What is it in you that compels you to use that?

I'm not a former soldier, but I don't like viewing it either. I skip right past it and avoid it.

you didnt have any relatives in the military did you cause if you did you would have respect. posting images like says you have no respect what so ever. how about we get some old family photos of you past loved ones and post them up see how you like those apples.

It'd be interesting to see why it has that effect on you then, the addictive effects. There's rarely actual voice talking in a lot of experiences most people talk about but how we piece together the information is up to us, maybe this is where your invent a new lingo comes in, not just symbols etc...you seem to be on that threshhold of favoring non material communication as opposed to material and the lack of communicators "in practice" coherently probably pisses you the fuck off...

Probably same as it does most people who are chasing that same "buzz"...

My best friend did 3 tours...

He came back emotionally scarred to the point I no longer knew him at all.

Nearly delusional..when he called several times after, speaking of secret missions and how I was the one person he could call and if he 'disappeared' to contact his mother.

My mothers uncle died in Vietnam. My grandmother's father fought in one on the World Wars.

There is depth missing in normal communication. It is like it is lacking in dimensionality.

I would say that is accurate, what you said in bold. Except, it doesn't piss me off. Just makes me not want to talk a lot. Though, I say that, and I had a work X-Mas party that I got pretty 'upset' over. I think I may have said a total of 20 words in about 2 hours.

But, mostly it just makes me not want to talk much.

The addictive effects, I believe comes from my 'adrenaline' rushes that I love. Once I was able to control my fear during experiences, it became...magical. I don't know how to describe it, lol. It is still scary as fuck, scarier than anything I have ever done. Nothing comes close to the fear that manifests. Being able to control it, and ride it, and make it through the experiences is a feeling of accomplishment, a feeling of bettering myself, making myself stronger than the emotions that want to control.

Liberating is the word.

Thanks, I think in war talk threads it's a little more expected, but I don't think there's many who participate in this one who need to be made uncomfortable to understand war=death.

I'll admit I'm sensitive to stuff like that more than I'd like. And most days I just ignore that stuff...

Yeah, I didn't mean like it makes you rage out...but I really do understand not wanting then to communicate with anyone because by the time it takes you to fully explain what you process in the span of 10 seconds would take forever with our current means of communication and it gets to a point where ya ask "is it worth it" like you did at the party and usually it's a big "fuck that" lol

OH! I just understood what you meant in the bold part! lol, it doesn't piss me off, but yeah, lack of that kind of communication is frustrating. There is so much misinterpretation in 'normal' communication. The other communication cuts massively down on misinterpretation...I imagine.

The volume as it were, seems TURNED UP on the War topic of late and that is how I deal with it personally.
