Re: X Marks the Spot
Origins and Meanings of the Eight-Point Star

The roots of the eight-point star symbol are in early astronomy. The eight lines are symbolic of the four corners of space (north, south, east, and west) and time (two solstices and two equinoxes).

The Sumerians used an arrangement of lines as a symbol for both star and God. The linear eight-point star represented the goddess Inanna, Sumerian queen of the heavens and Ishtar (Astarte), the Babylonian goddess known as “The Lightbringer.” An eight-point star enclosed within a circle was the symbol for the sun god. The “Babylonian star-cult is the core and the archetype of subsequent astrology.”

For centuries, the Greeks believed that the morning and evening star we different entities. The Greeks recognized Venus as the morning and evening star is 400 BC, 1,500 years after Sumerians

 Quoting: Seer777

Symbol of Chaos

The Symbol of Chaos originates from Michael Moorcock's Eternal Champion stories. In them, the Symbol of Chaos comprises eight arrows in a radial pattern. In contrast, the symbol of Law is a single upright arrow. It is also called the Arms of Chaos, the Arrows of Chaos, the Chaos Star, the Chaos Cross, or the Symbol of Eight.

There are a number of traditional symbols that have the same geometrical pattern as Moorcock's symbol of Chaos, such as any of various eight-pointed stars (like this one from a Greek vase from the fifth century BCE), the star of Ishtar/Venus, the Eastern Dharmacakra and the Wheel of the Year, but none of these were symbols of chaos and their limbs are not arrows.

Furthermore, the '8' of Wands in Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot deck features prominently an eight-pointed star with arrows at the ends.

Crowley described the card as representing "energy" scattering at "high velocity" that had managed to create the depicted eight-pointed figure...

As far as the antsy, I just always assumed the experiences have become something like an addiction.

No, there is no higher value on either. But, I don't remember ever meeting a human looking ET before. So, I cannot properly answer your question.

Also, when visitations occur, there is no 'talking' that goes on, as far as what is in my memory. I am thinking that it may be much different then you imagine it to be. It is far, far different than human to human interaction.
 Quoting: Septenary Man

It'd be interesting to see why it has that effect on you then, the addictive effects. There's rarely actual voice talking in a lot of experiences most people talk about but how we piece together the information is up to us, maybe this is where your invent a new lingo comes in, not just symbols etc...you seem to be on that threshhold of favoring non material communication as opposed to material and the lack of communicators "in practice" coherently probably pisses you the fuck off...

Probably same as it does most people who are chasing that same "buzz"...

Nearly delusional..when he called several times after, speaking of secret missions and how I was the one person he could call and if he 'disappeared' to contact his mother.

My mothers uncle died in Vietnam. My grandmother's father fought in one on the World Wars.

There is depth missing in normal communication. It is like it is lacking in dimensionality.

I would say that is accurate, what you said in bold. Except, it doesn't piss me off. Just makes me not want to talk a lot. Though, I say that, and I had a work X-Mas party that I got pretty 'upset' over. I think I may have said a total of 20 words in about 2 hours.

But, mostly it just makes me not want to talk much.

The addictive effects, I believe comes from my 'adrenaline' rushes that I love. Once I was able to control my fear during experiences, it became...magical. I don't know how to describe it, lol. It is still scary as fuck, scarier than anything I have ever done. Nothing comes close to the fear that manifests. Being able to control it, and ride it, and make it through the experiences is a feeling of accomplishment, a feeling of bettering myself, making myself stronger than the emotions that want to control.

Liberating is the word.

You do good with the pics most of the time...then there are those ones that you post that are horrible to view...like that war one...like the child one holding her ears...

Or you post pics like the volume knob...knowing full well some may not want to view that either...as they are sensitive to such things...

So you got a track record for making at least me uncomfortable with some of your pics...but you don't seem to care...la la la on your way you go...I don't even know why I take the time to type this to you as your track record for ignoring people is up there too...

Ugh.

Do I use the volume knob any more Spirit? What did I say to you directly concerning such?

Have you seen the 'noise' image since either?

How would you deem your 'track record'?

hmm

I believe I have seen the little girl one recently... no not the noise one...I am truthful Seer... what do you mean by track record? What is my track record please share...

I was using your own words to reflect it back to you.

I know you are honest.

But if you think for a moment I am attempting to 'get Spirit' and make you personally uncomfortable then you have misread my intention.

Alas...that is WHY I stopped using it. Due to said.
