Thank you...yes a lesson in patience.
I am wondering if AVG could possibly be the culprit of my laptop suddenly turning itself on in the middle of the night while locked and shut, just to belt out a few musical sentences, only to shut itself down again a few seconds later.
I would like to think that anyhow.

Also, it is often plugged in. But I appreciate the suggestion. :) My partner is a bit of a tech nerd, and he is convinced my laptop is hijacked.
