Re: X Marks the Spot
Why do we love music ?
Could it be relief from the trauma of hearing the Clash of the Gods ?
An attempt to control the uncontrollable , to resolve the theme ?
Is rhythm the reassuring heartbeat , and melody the predictable song ,
( unlike the cacophony of the songs of the spheres) ?
The sacred songs of our ancestors were sung to their gods...
Was a harmony a charm ?
 Quoting: observation

Could be a lot of things. Though I think the interest in music is much more primal than an intellectual concept such as a god image. It is part of the fabric of our wiring. Spiders weave webs. People tell stories, sing songs, and dance.

Here is a great demonstration of the music language we all have in common with the pentatonic scale: [link to www.ted.com]

Here's a Gematrix thingy for Pi.

Check this out. My full name is equal to THREE SIX NINE. It also equals Crowley's The Book of Law, Liber AL vel Legis. And, The Lion of Judah, etc.

Sept I wrote this earlier and didn't post it.

Good morning.

I've got a little, tiny story for today.

I forgot to take off my necklace that I wear. It is a leather band with an African coin on it. The reason I like it so much is the coin has a hole drilled into it through the center. It reminds me of the torus. The necklace isn't tight around my neck, but it isn't loose either. There is no clasp or anything, I just slide it over my head (it just fits over my head) to put it on.

Anyway, I fell asleep with it on. I woke up around 2:30 in the morning. The necklace was off and lying on my chest.

Reminds me a bit of what happened to me the other day with my necklace...

Speaking of...my 'Eye of Ra' necklace came off in the shower earlier.

I have been wearing it since this summer when I asked a fellow artist at the Saturday Market if her husband could custom make it for me...

It was ready the next weekend.

I have been wearing it since.

It is a quarter...

I have yet to determine whether I should place it back on or not...

The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank."

The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects.

The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard.
The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass.

Yes but, to where?
Is it novelty, maybe?
Or is it a certain 'thing'?
Perhaps everyone is not after the same 'thing'....
So, I am now wondering what the determining factors are.....

When a person does the tango or the waltz on the dance floor, they are not going in a direction, they move all about the Floor! Everywhere! what would be beautiful about dance and the waltz if the pair danced a mapped point to point? How robotic and ugly the waltz would become. How dull a tango would be if the dancers hit the same spot and flexed the same angle every time. This is the same with soul existence; it is not the end nor the beginning that matters, nor the points on the floor where the 'moves' are executed, its all of everything in between, and everyone contacted within the span. Its the fluency, the motions, and the patterns, which forms the Whole---omg, talking about a 'thing' and 'it'...lmao, WTF is you? y are you here?

Under the drug, both men denied the charges on which they were held; and both, upon trial, were found not guilty. One of the prisoners afterwards confirmed House’s hypothesis: "After I had regained consciousness I began to realize that at times during the experiment I had a desire to answer any question that I could hear, and it seemed that when a question was asked my mind would center upon the true facts of the answer and I would speak voluntarily, without any strength of will to manufacture an answer.’

The CIA says: Enthusiastic at this success, House concluded that a patient under the influence of scopolamine "cannot create a lie" Because he said the drug ‘will depress the cerebrum to such a degree as to destroy the power of reasoning’. ... there is no power to think or reason."

Under the drug, both men denied the charges on which they were held; and both, upon trial, were found not guilty. One of the prisoners afterwards confirmed House’s hypothesis: "After I had regained consciousness I began to realize that at times during the experiment I had a desire to answer any question that I could hear, and it seemed that when a question was asked my mind would center upon the true facts of the answer and I would speak voluntarily, without any strength of will to manufacture an answer.

The CIA says: Enthusiastic at this success, House concluded that a patient under the influence of scopolamine "cannot create a lie" Because he said the drug ‘will depress the cerebrum to such a degree as to destroy the power of reasoning’. ... there is no power to think or reason."

Not really.

Unless one feels the need to lie. A lie is generally manufactured for self serving means. To protect ones ego.

I believe I mentioned that yesterday.

And i don't believe said drug above 'suppresses' reason. Perhaps it causes one to disregard the shell which protects 'Self'...

Would you feel 'exposed' under such a drug? Or are you generally truthful in Nature?

hmm
