You will find this quite common here. When a member chooses to delete their profile, all PM's disappear sent or received. Along with any reference to their previous profile on their posts. However, the 'name' will stay if quoted by another. I mentioned as much a couple weeks ago... I just noticed today that PM's sent in the past, disappear if said sender deletes their accounts.
