Re: X Marks the Spot
Are we looking at local filaments? That depends on which scale we choose. On the galactic scale, where the sun is about 26,000 ly from the center, then all the filaments they are looking at are local, within a few hundred ly of us. When you look at it that way, it does not seem very surprising that all the filaments are the same size. Whether they are shaped by galactic scale gravitational, or electrical forces, we might expect filaments in the suns vicinity, to be roughly the same size.
If we start thinking about Gould's Belt, which is more like 1500-2200 ly across, with the sun some few hundred ly from center, then these filaments are very widely separated. Some of the filaments are very near the center of this rotating ring, some way out near the edge. Then it seems odd that the filaments are the same size. Again, whether it was electrical or gravitational forces holding the ring together, those forces are not constant over the rings radius.
What we clearly do have, is filaments that are the same diameter. In all the reading I've done so far, I don't see why filaments shouldn't be scalable, but clearly they are not.
As far as them being the same density, where changes in apparent density are due to viewing angle, I should have had that straight away. I've been saying the local chimney is a current filament, with Gould's Belt appearing orthogonally around it, right where the chimney narrows. That is right where we would expect a torus to form. So of course all the filaments would spiral around as we see them. Any particular filament may be aligned in any way (they spiral around each other), but the average filament angle in any region should be in the direction that the torus runs. The magnetic field of the chimney (from that stream of stars flowing through it) shapes the torus.
All of this is consistent with what we see, with the sun itself traveling in a filament spiraling the same way.

The Boston bombing was major blowback. That much is certain. The question is, what level of blowback? Are we looking at some Caucasian terra-rists inspired by hate of the US of A, or more credibly a US home-grown black-ops gone rather awry? ''Disappearance'' of photo evidence tells its own story

That is interesting. I'd be even more interested to know more about what Putin's government said/knew about the older brother in 2011.

That they went through public channels to bring the older brother to the US's 'attention' is telling. It is there way of saying..."Hey, US Government, we think this guy is working for you or is being funded by you and we don't like the activities/people he is involved in/with.

The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects.

The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard.
The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass.

Imaginal psychology

Imaginal Psychology is a recent branch of psychology which considers soul to be psychology’s primary concern. Central to this new discipline is the idea that the 'soul' expresses itself in images, and that care of the soul requires that we pay great attention to the images we 'inhabit'. This approach to psychology draws on a variety of spiritual traditions, the religious beliefs of indigenous peoples, mythology, literature and poetry, Deep Ecology, and social critique.

Perhaps the most accomplished analyst of mythology in modern times was the late Mircea Eliade, chairman of the Department of History of Religions at the University of Chicago, and editor of the Encyclopedia of Religion. From his meticulous, lifelong survey of the subject, professor Eliade drew a stunning conclusion: literally every component of early civilizations--from religion to art and architecture--expressed symbolically the desire to recover and to re-live the lost Golden Age. That which symbolically transported the participant back to the First Time, the Golden Age, was sacred. That which did not was transient and mundane, of no interest.

Weird thing about signs is they can have multiple meanings, like the higher and lower aspects.

Like Skull - lower aspect death - higher aspect soul

Not sure higher/lower is the right terminology, but you get me right.

Seeing Seagulls
Apr 23, 2013

To talk about something, we have to conceive ideas and words with which to describe the thing. We can’t avoid these pre-conceptions. But will we try to compensate for this prejudice by conceiving more than one?

The Seagull Nebula is a splotch of light that resembles a bird: the streak is the wings; the round smudge is the head. Astronomers see a cloud of gas, but they were thinking “gas” before they saw the light. A person who thinks “plasma” before he sees the light will see electrical Birkeland currents.

“Clouds of gas and dust” is a century-old idea that persists despite the discovery of plasma. Astronomers will say “ionized gas” without awareness that the ionization makes it plasma. They talk about ionized regions around hot stars and blame the ions on the stars’ ultraviolet radiation, as in the head of the Seagull Nebula.

A person who thinks “plasma” instead of “ionized gas” will consider that cause and effect may be reversed: the ionized region may be in glow-mode as the current that powers the star pinches down to a greater density. Astronomers gloss over the cavities and networks in the glowing region as effects of winds and shocks. They lack the vocabulary of double layers and cells that are part of the plasma lexicon...................

.................If astronomers have enough imagination to see seagulls, they could read up on plasma and see something beyond their gas.

10. “Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence … from the hour the Pilgrims landed to the present day, events, occurrences and tendencies prove that to ensure peace security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable … the very atmosphere of firearms anywhere restrains evil interference — they deserve a place of honor with all that’s good.” --George Washington, First President of the United States
