Deuteronomy 34 NIV


1 Then Moses climbed Mount Nebo from the plains of Moab to the top of Pisgah, across from Jericho. There the Lord showed him the whole land—from Gilead to Dan,

2 all of Naphtali, the territory of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the Mediterranean Sea,

3 the Negev and the whole region from the Valley of Jericho, the City of Palms, as far as Zoar.

4 Then the Lord said to him, "This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob when I said, 'I will give it to your descendants.' I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over into it."


5 And Moses the servant of the Lord died there in Moab, as the Lord had said.

6 He buried him in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is.

7 Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone.

8 The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning was over.

9 Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses.

What is 'separation anxiety'? Children display this behavior from infancy.

It can increase or decrease with time of course.

in my experience a lot of what is experienced will never make sense because the environment we form and sustain that the experiences occur within is not sensible
thus looking for answers that fit within what we possess is never satisfying because satisfying answers can not exist within what we possess
and
will never occur
until we alter the environment we form and sustain into the environment that does provide answers of spiritual satisfaction

I think that is a good way of looking at it.




By 'separation anxiety' I do not mean in a debilitating or even visible sense.

But that which happens 'internally'...

That feel of 'coming absence'. The pull of the hole. Of a person they care about being...separate

That 'closeness' of touch, lost.

Curious as to what made you bring up seperation anxiety seer?

This feeling has become so 'typical' for me that I do not even register it as such anymore.

There is only one feeling that is worse....

What is the behavior they display as an infant?

Can you point out, and specifically demonstrate the difference between the two?

Motive.

A man that feels he personally is owed is in it for himself.

A man that knows his DESCENDANTS will be taken care of, and is willing to sacrifice his entire life AND die for the cause, must be incredibly benevolent in his motive.... no?

They become agitated and cry.

Toddlers will scream. And often display real fear. Clinginess.

I was lucky, children in my care did not display this behavior, when I was preschool teacher and nanny. They would come to me.

The mothers often commented. It caused them feelings of jealousy, and sadness.

I would often tell them, are you not working your job secure knowing your child is being care for by someone they trust?


I had one mother tell me her daughter was, "happier to see me, than her."

It was difficult to deal with.

Hmm, guess my daughter did not really experience that...or did not show it. She was a happy baby and cared for by grandparents instead of daycare while i worked...first day of kindergarden she was happy to just be with other children...she was used to animals being her playmates before that. I would go to pick her up at nanas and papas and she would be riding the goats;-)

In my honest opinion....

Perhaps not in all cases, but by and large, the parenting provided by the baby boomer generation is an absolute disgrace

They seem to think they own their children.

They seem to think it isn't their only duty to raise the child and ensure that he/she is HAPPY

Not 'successful' as the boomer's definition of success is an example of perfect insanity IMO

But actually HAPPY.....

Why is it that I have learned more about socializing in the six months I have used this forum than in the rest of my life raised by my parents?

'Internet addiction' fails to fully explain it....

And then they were gone. All of them.

Like a puff of smoke...




Great memories though. I know they will always carry a part of me with them. Whether they remember it or not.
