I just found this and received a 'whoa'.

lol.

As I was meditating I attempted to send the scent of a rose. As I find this rather easy to do.

I received a response and thought...well how about irises then?

Purple Irises.

Perun
In Slavic mythology, Perun is the highest god of the pantheon and the god of thunder and lightning.

His other attributes were fire, mountains, the oak, iris, eagle, firmament
(in Indo-European languages, this was joined with the notion of the sky of stone), horses and carts, weapons (the hammer, axe (Axe of Perun), and arrow), and war. He was first associated with weapons made of stone and later with those of metal.

it can also be shown that Perun was married to the Sun.

He, however, shared his wife with his enemy Veles, as each night the Sun was thought of as diving behind the horizon and into the underworld, the realm of the dead over which Veles ruled.

Like many other Indo-European thunder gods, Perun's vegetative hypostasis was the oak, especially a particularly distinctive or prominent one.

In Southern Slavic traditions, marked oaks stood on country borders; communities at these positions were visited during village holidays in the late spring and during the summer. Shrines of Perun were located either on top of mountains or hills, or in sacred groves underneath ancient oaks. These were a general place of worship and holding of sacrifices (with a bull, an ox, a ram, and eggs).

In addition to the tree association, Perun had a day association (Thursday) as well as the material association (tin)

On the Perun link it has this pict

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

Gromoviti znaci or thunder marks such as these are ancient symbols of Perun, which are often engraved upon roof beams of village houses, particularly in Eastern Slavic populations, to protect them from lightning bolts. It is conjectured their circular shape symbolises ball lightning.

Which is the same as an acorn. The folklore was to place an acorn on the window sill to keep the home from being struck by lightning.

Veles

Ancient Slavs viewed their world as a huge tree, with the treetop and branches representing the heavenly abode of gods and the world of mortals, whilst the roots represented the underworld.

And while Perun, seen as a hawk or eagle sitting on a tallest branch of tree, was believed to be ruler of heaven and living world, Veles, seen as a huge serpent coiling around the roots, was ruling the world of dead.

This was actually quite a lovely place, described in folk tales as a green and wet world of grassy plains and eternal spring, where various fantastic creatures dwell and the spirits of deceased watch over Veles' herds of cattle. In more geographical terms, the world of Veles was located, the Slavs believed, "across the sea", and it was there the migrating birds would fly to every winter. In folk tales this land is called Virey or Iriy.

Each year, the god of fertility and vegetation, Jarilo, who also dwelt there during winter, would return from across the sea and bring spring into the world of the living.

Landscaping is hard work but quite lovely in the result.

There are 2 houses in particular I pass every time I ride to the store.

The 'lawns' look like velvet. However, one is a bit browner than the other and marked by a definable line.

I find myself staring at the greener of the two, wanting to get off my bike and lay in said. However that would be not something one should do on another's lawn without permission.

It could be the most perfect 'grass' I have ever seen. At the end of July that is.

Perhaps I will get a pic of it next time I ride by.

Do you remember the Slip-n-Slide?
[link to en.wikipedia.org]

/z\ Great fun as a youth.

What they didn't tell you, was unless your lawn was perfectly level without divets, bumps, sticks, stones, and the like...that you would feel every one of the them as you 'slid over' and across.

After a 'few slides' ones knees, ribs, and elbows, were often red from hitting the 'hard things' underneath.

Seems they attempted to 'solve this issue' by introducing a mat one could slide upon some years later.

But that was a bit after my time.

Anybody ever had the center of their forehead involuntarily twitch in the presence of another? Like it was activated within the presence of another? When I took the dog for a walk I found a hundred and twenty year old church, as we walk through the grave yard I notice a few graves with the compass and the square, so get my phone out and start snapping, next thing I am being shouted at from someone at the vicars house about taking pictures, so we leave and walk around the corner, I see a van with AAA on it, then a post with the number 222, I get back here and the cry of the 3rd aether is up on my blooming phone, I begin to read it and it is really wowing me hahahaha, great syncs happening in this place, am having electric storms but no thunder, just big flashes, is nice to see the flashes count for thunder and none comes.

Remember how I mentioned it would 'burn' at times?

I consider that to be a lack of control....
