The ocean is about an hour or so, west of I-5 which runs though population areas.

The the coastline is long and varied with the best beaches on the central coast IMO. Yachats, Newport, Lincoln City are popular places. Along with Astoria. Goonies was filmed there.

That's awesome. Been skiing once. I'd do it again too. The people I was with were all experienced and I wasn't but stayed with them. They took my on the diamond trails. One point it was like straight down and I said no freaking way. So I had to hold on to my friends uncle doing the squatting man. Scary but fun. I remember cursing down the mountain at the beginning because little kids were zooming by while I was struggling, lol

I skied as a child. Then moved to snowboarding when I was 15. They both have their charms.

There is Mt. Hood too which has some nice resorts. The hotel exterior in The Shining was filmed at the Timberline Lodge.

if gaia once possessed rings , and we believe she did, and the rings appeared as water in the sky, which it did, then gaia is the land mass rising out of her water shell

I thought the way he explained the Internet and the 'group of teens' he has assembled in regard to the Internet quite telling.

Also I found the idea of the 'XPrize' intriguing.

X Prize Foundation
XPRIZE is a non-profit organization that designs and manages public competitions intended to encourage technological development that could benefit mankind. Their Board of Trustees include Elon Musk, James Cameron, Larry Page, Arianna Huffington, Ratan Tata among others.

The XPRIZE mission is to bring about “radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity” through incentivized competition. It fosters high-profile competitions that motivate individuals, companies and organizations across all disciplines to develop innovative ideas and technologies that help solve the grand challenges that restrict humanity’s progress.
