This is not based on fact, this is a scientific version of a daydream or what-if scenario. It says right there that she dreamt them up.

The article title is misleading.

She is speculating. She never said they actually exist.

Jelly fish...anything you can imagine and then to an infinate power that you cannot...exists and most are sentient--way above us humans. Most are benevolent.

Well she never actually claimed at any point these hypothetical aliens exist, it was merely speculation to raise awareness of the exponential growth of exoplanet cataloging.

The headline was the usual sober reporting of the Telegraph at work.

There was once a thread on GLP involving something outside of a space station we were watching live.

I screencapped it and enhanced it and linked the enhanced photo and it's not that far-off from what she is describing.

Perhaps she knows something she isn't telling us.

There used to be an amazing video that was from NASA I think... it showed an absolute shitload of these ghost-like jellyfish creatures in space. I've never been able to find the video again... it was an OLD video.

Thank you for saying this. The first thing I thought when I saw that page was Carl Sagan's book Cosmos. In fact for a moment I thought they stole the artwork from it as well, as they looked so much alike.
