Let me guess..if we dont agree we will be burnt alive forever right?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18036127 Most Christians would tell you that you must accept Christ as your Saviour or will be tossed into a Lake of Fire at the great judgement
I am a Christian who believes every Word of the Bible to be truth and as a dedicated student of the Bible I can tell you that this is not true and it is a trick of Satan .... he has deceived 99% of ministers of the Gospel to believe and teach this because Satan understands that this teaching makes a lot of unbelievers upset with their perceived understanding of Christianity
Jesus said that no one can come unto the the Son unless the Father draws him first....
The Bible clearly teaches that God chooses people and draws these people unto Him and that These called people believe in him by Faith....they are declared righteous because they have unwavering faith and trust in him alone and not in their own abilities
the Bible calls these people the Very Elect....the Bride of Christ...the Wise Virgin
the Bible says that by forknowledge....God did predestinate
God knowing the Future before it ever took place .....because he is eternal....by forknowledge he saw which people were people we're able to live by faith and he saw which humans couldn't live by faith
God judges his chosen people based upon their faith in him and not on any works that they do
all the rest of the people of earth are resurrected at the second rssurection and judged this way....keep in mind that this is Jesus directly teaching this.....
Matthew 25
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
he CLEARY teaches that all of these people are judged according to THEIR works and Jesus never even mentions faith..or religious convictions....or if a man was an atheist....etc....etc...
he did call these people so he doesn't hold them accountable to something he nevers reveals to them.....
if you had two sons and you asked one to go to the bank and deposit a check for you monday after work and you never ask the other son to do this then come Monday night ....would you go to your second son and demand that he pay a punishment for not going to the bank like his brother when you never asked the second son in the first place?
This would be unjust and not good
God is just and good....therefore.....the human beings that he dosent call ....he judges them very simply ....on this one standard.....
How did you treat you fellow human being.....with compassion or with evilness of heart....
Basically he judges all non believers off the golden rule.....
rev 20 also teaches the great judgement will be judged according to the works that the unbeliever preformed to his fellow man
this is what the Bible truly teaches
it is far more rewarding to live by Faith ....it fulfills you and gives you purpose in life.....
but if this isn't who you are then if you will just treat your fellow man with dignity, respect and love.....then God will reward you
not all Christians are ignorant of the truth.....just most...but to be fair.....the Bible said prophesied that professing Christians in the end times wou
D be ignorant of the truth because they would rather believe what their ministers teach rather then what Gods words teach
