Global models are beginning to pick up the development of a possible tropical cyclone coming from a tropical wave forecast to enter the eastern Atlantic Ocean late this week. Models runs are not too consistent with the development of this so far but the Sahara dust has settled down which opens up a window for development. [ link to tropic.ssec.wisc.edu] A nice storm SE of Cape Verde Islands is currently helping to sweep the dust out of the atmosphere. [ link to www.ssd.noaa.gov] Something to keep an eye on - stay tuned.
