I was involved in Occupy before you seen it on TV. At first it had a strong libertarian sway. Ron Paul supporters were thick in Occupy. The organization had no central authority and no way to vet people. MArxists jumped into the mix fairly early....

People think they know. They think it was set up from the beginning to be a democrat thing. I've read all the same information, but I was there. I felt it, I participated before any of you even heard of Occupy. I believe it was a grassroots movement that had a lot in common with the teaparty. Then TPTB decided it was a threat to their game and they studied it to see what they wanted to do with it. They saw a youthful college educated crowd that leaned a little further left than many teapartiers(but who were pissed for all the same reasons) and they decided then and there what was to be Occupys' fate. It was to be the democrats' version of the Teaparty. Divide and conquer.
