I saw or read a report that shooter took (exactly!) 100 mg of Vicodin , 2 hours before the shooting. Weird-I know.

My suspicions are that this dude had a long-held adderal 'script, courtesy of mom. The over-achieving scholarly ness seems to fit with that for me.

this report is dumb. the normal dose for vicodin don't come in 100mg doses

the pills are normally 750 or 1000mg, with most of the pill being acetaminophen, with the rest being hydrocodone.

100mg he wouldn't even catch a buzz, unless it was straight hydrocodone...which doesn't go by the name vicodone. But by roxycodone

pain killers aren't the cause of his rampage. Reports are slowly coming out that he took them to help relax a bit. Columbine shooters did the same, with oxycodone

Likely SSRIs or started going over board with ADD meds. Speed (ADD meds) can cause psychosis. It seems like he must have been reasonably sane until the last few months. If your planning to essentially suicide this way, your not going to put in the effort for a Phd.
