yes! Thank you for this thread. It's rare that I sleep on my stomach but when I do I open my eyes and always see a small black spider walking toward the end of my bed. I always jump up to kill it but nothing's ever there. What the heck does it mean?

I Have caused a few spiders to wake up hallucinating a large boot coming down upon it, and then it realized it wasn't hallucinating and never had the guts to fall asleep again.

I had this happen to me a while back... the spider looked to be at least 2-3 ft in diameter with translucent legs. I saw it after I woke in the middle of the night... it was very off putting to say the least!

I read somewhere that it's an astral dream weaver who comes down and covers your eyes with spider webs to induce dreaming. I'll just stick with the sand man, thanks.

Re: Has Anyone Ever HALLUCINATED A SPIDER When Waking Up?
I used to have this phenomenon regularly, and although I'm somewhat scared of spiders, I wasn't of these. They were the size of a hand and they used to sit on my foot end of the bed. I also saw other "things" watching me, they'd usually hide when they noticed me looking at them.

So I asked for the spiders to go away and they never returned. I didn't feel that they were malignant at all.

Having that said, I moved my bed also, because on the other side of the wall that my bed was against, was our fridge. Perhaps the electromagnetic radiation somehow caused hallucinations.

Re: Has Anyone Ever HALLUCINATED A SPIDER When Waking Up?
I've had an hallucination of the little girl off the movie ,"The Ring"..

Just standing there looking at me.. then I actually was paralyzed and forced to close my eyes, then had something like a night terror which felt too real, i went to the bathroom and found a girl in the bathtub naked and in a tub full of blood, she looked at me and started screaming with a HUGE mouth, it startled me and i jumped out of paralysis. then the little girl vanished faster than a blink of an eye.

I didnt sleep the next night, I pulled an all nighter.. then the next night after that, I spelt with the light on. LOL

It is how your brain interprets the eye floaters. It's looking for a logical explanation in your sleepy stupor. It's quite common. Had them for years.

i think the spiders are absolutely real.
they are not a figment of anyones imagination.
they jsut are not physical, solid.

they are something like guardians of the weave, the matrix, the pattern we live on and in.

Re: Has Anyone Ever HALLUCINATED A SPIDER When Waking Up?
all this week I've been thinking of spiders. Then someone posted several days ago on glp a statue of the olympic spider that was put up I think a year ago in london to honor the coming olympics. i thought this very odd....black widow?

this ties into something that i also thought was odd. does anyone rememmber when obama won the presidental election and Michell came on with him and his family? The dress she had on was like nothing i've seen before. it was black and in the middle was a red fabric over her stomack. she looked just like a black widow. i made a comment this was the worst dress i've ever seen and made her look like a black widow.

i have been looking all morning to find that post again about this statue and it's reference to a black widow and the olypmpics

something is going on.

Here ya go:

[link to www.dreamviews.com]

I've had them for years. I don't/can't always see them, and it doesn't take me falling to sleep - if I'm almost asleep but open my eyes I can see it.

It doesn't look like a spider to me as much as a huge spinning ball of tangled yarn, but I can remember thinking at various times that it did resemble a spider.

Interesting, no?

Re: Has Anyone Ever HALLUCINATED A SPIDER When Waking Up?
I just woke from a nap and hallucinated a giant, thick, fuzzy black spider! Scared the crap out of me and WOKE ME RIGHT UP!

Anyway, I was all snoozy and cozy, woke up ahead of my alarm, glanced at the time on the clock (saw it accurately - I KNOW I was awake), then past the clock on my bedside table I SWEAR I saw a gigantic spider crawling on my cell phone. Scared me to death and I became instantly wide awake. I couldn't see it so I kept staring and staring and finally reached out and turned the light on. No spider! Looked everywhere. It was SO REAL.

Anyway, I Googled first and it's apparently one of the most common hallucinations? Who knew. Then someone mentioned "kundalini shakti" and I thought, oh gosh, I need to ask GLP! They'll know!

So... anyone got any ideas on WTF? Is my brain about to short circuit or something??

It was the size of a baby tarantula and I surely would've been able to find that sucker if it was actually there. I've never had anything like this happen before.

I get spider hallucinations after overexposure to the sun.

Did u have sun poisoning OP?

Every sunburn, for me, is going to involve spider terror later on. Usually feels like a heavy one walking on me and really seems to be real. You keep hitting the spot to get it off until your mind finally believes its not there. Weird.

Re: Has Anyone Ever HALLUCINATED A SPIDER When Waking Up?
Thanks everyone for your comments, stories and suggestions! I am amazed how "common" spider hallucinations are, I really had no idea.

It seems to mostly indicate a sleeping problem and I definitely have wonky sleep patterns as I work nights yet still have to be up in the daytime as well so I sleep in bits and pieces. I guess I need to be more aware and get better rest! I did not have any sun exposure as someone asked.

I admit I have been a little nervous all day halfway expecting to see the spider again and a little worried that it could be a deeper issue than the sleep explanation but hopefully it's not that I'm going to have a stroke or anything since it is something that so many people experience.

I did see that it could relate to the pineal gland awakening and/or kundalini or whatever. I'm not overly familiar with these things and would love anyone to share more info.

Please continue to share your experiences, I really appreciate it everyone!

I call them waking dreams, since they happen in that fuzzy time between awake and asleep. And yes, I have had that horrible one where a foot long, hairy, black spider is heading towards me from it's web.

If you're looking for serious answers, then the guy with the witch doctor video link has the most credits. For some reason you were somehow able to see in the spiritual realm, see the demons in the form of spiders (common form, as demons take most forms). At least that's the most logical conclusion from my point, take it or leave it bro! That's my 5 cents on it.

Re: Has Anyone Ever HALLUCINATED A SPIDER When Waking Up?
I've never seen a spider but i have seen some interesting things.

I woke up to see my bedroom walls covered in writing, it looked like hebrew, or asain letters.

That's happened about 3 times up to date.

Now what really freakes me out, I've awoken twice now and hallucinated a large orb floating up twords the ceiling, it looked like it was composed of articulately entwined buck antlers forming a perfect sphere and had a crimson glowing light in the center of it, the second time i saw one the orb in the center was a blueish green light.

They faded away after like 5-7 seconds but it had me pretty freaked...
 Quoting: Mortal Epiphany

The writing is interesting! Have you been able to find out anything about that?

No idea what the orb you saw might be. My spider was moving too, it was crawling it's fat self up onto my cell phone, it was SO VIVID!

I recall when the pope was giving one of his pope speeches and there was a large black spider crawling all over him during same he didn't ever seem to notice

it went up one side and around the collar of his shirt and came out the other side

at one point it was dangling from his shoulder on it's webby and a woman from the sudience, nun or something I think, ran up and tried to alert him to it's presence...

it was on a youtube video after the fact, but live t.v. originally.

it was hillarious because he's demonic too so it fit like the gloves DID and DO

perfect symbolism

sorta like the day the wind came up in his face and almost knocked him over

I think they had to cancel his pomp and circumstance on that occasion. mother nature one, pope zero.

yes, they're other dimensional but I've had them come and go then return again within moments when fully awake with all the lights on

so it isn't just upon wakening or when sleeping by any stretch

they have a propensity to appear dangling inches from your face when you're relaxing I find

then disappear before you can swat them without actually going anywhere, just poof

Seeing spiders, webbing, crawlers out of the corner of you eyes, could be pineal gland is activated while you're sleeping. I have seen CRAZY things coming out of deep sleeps or meditative states. We only see avery small percentage of the light spectrum, imagine whats out there we can't see!
“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan
