Bain Capital is becoming the Bane of Romney's existence

Curious how the word Bain/Bane has suddenly appeared in multiple formats and taken center stage in our cultural discussions.

Even the Colorado theater shootings occurred during the premiere of the new Bane character.

When people say "Bane" or "Bain" now, what will the sound of the word bring to mind for them? What will the instant word association be inside their heads?

They will be reminded of all the questions being raised about Mitt Romney’s business career, his involvement at Bain, all the outsourcing, and Romney's investments and tax shelters.

And that will get mixed in on an unconscious level with their reactions to the new bad guy Bane in the new Batman movie.

And it will also get mixed in on an unconscious level with their memories and reactions to the Colorado theater shooting where the Bane character premiered.

So, psychologically speaking, the word Bain has been associated with, and corrupted by, the word Bane in the collective unconscious, simply because both words came into view culturally at the same relative point in time.

Conclusion: Romney's screwed.
