The latter sounds like a good idea. One good reason that I can think of for a garden taking up your entire front yard being illegal is maybe people being more likely to steal your fruits and veggies? Since when does a corporation get to tell me what I can and cannot do with my own property? Watch some videos with Dean Clifford, a Canadian, who has some real eye-opening stuff about what a corporation has the power to do or not. Basically the corp has nothing without a contract in place between you and it, and just moving into the city doesn't establish a contract. The City just forces it down your throat and nobody understands that there is no contract. The City can't even make laws. The best they can do is rules, regulations and ordinances, which are not laws. You can tell them to shove it. |

Its a fire law, the fire-department must have access to the house in case of fire. Quoting: Bowyn Aerrow If you look at the image, there are raised beds and trellises, these would hamper firefighters if there was a fire. Personally I would never put a vegetable garden in the front yard (street side of the house). Especially in a place where it snows and they plow and salt roads. That salt and soot and sand gets into the lawn soil and that hampers the health of plants, plus all of the road crap that is also scraped up each time its plowed, oil, asphalt, rubber, whatever. EXACTLY my sentiments! I have no issue with front yard gardens--- BUT, I would never plant so close to the curb. You've got exhaust fumes and oil on a daily basis. I wouldn't want anything from the front section of that garden. |

Legistlation is NOT LAW, and the city is breaking its office of trust as an employee of the people to dictate in any way, what percentage of garden a person can have, or what part of the yard. PERIOD. And that means this must be taken to court, not only against the constitution. But when your servants, read mcdonalds worker employees break trust adn if you have a bad judge, the correct procedure is to pass the hat, and get a dozen PI's on them and nail their asses to the wall. Restore justice and get rid of corruption. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1844358 Stop paying it and see what happens to your house ;) They own YOU, and they will TELL you what to DO. ![]() Yep. They'll sell it to a bank and the bank will evict you. The people love it too. North Dakota could have eliminated their property tax but chose not to. |
