It's like if your some kinda sports celebrity or higher up person you can do all sorts of illegal activities and then go "oops...sorry"...and the law looks the other way or slaps you on the wrist with bullshit "fines". Everybody knows that you or I would be thrown UNDER the prison if we did those same things. THe justice system in this fucking country SUCKS ASS. If you ever wanna get away with something just get rich enough or famous enough and you can pretty much get away with anything. End of rant... |

Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values." MuzzleBreak |

Allowing players to be eligible immediately with transfers means the phones are ringing off the wall now for the good players. Requiring PSU to honor football scholarships for any football player that wants to quit football but finish his education means all those 3rd string guys that were scout team members can now sit back and relax while taking up scholarships that now have dropped to half of what are normally available. In effect the NCAA has killed the program for at least 8 years without having PSU being able to say "woe is me, the mean NCAA used the death penalty wrongfully against us". The 60 million isn't that big of a deal, but the 4 years of no bowls is huge financially. And having only 55 scholarships to field 22 FBS level players makes it an impossilbe task to be competitive. If PSU were smart they would suspend their program of their on volition to save the embarrassment of becoming everyone's homecoming opponent for the next 8 years. If not there will be alot of 65-0 scores against them in that time. |

Jo Pa is dead and can't defend himself. To remove his statue and taKe away his record is not fair as he cant answer allegations now. Did you know that for I can't remember how many years now, he reverted all his earnings back to Penn State and lived on his pension and SosSec only for the love of Penn State and football. Sure if Sandusky is guilty, punish him, and the man who did not stop the incident when he saw it (instead a coward ran to the athletic office) but to date there has not been a trial against Jo Pa. He reported it.what else can he do. Punish penn state security who did not act on Jo Pas notices. |

They are going to be awful, and make it that much harder for any Big 10 team to get into the Nat'l Championship. The Big 10 is going to look like more of a joke than before, it doesn't need anymore one-win teams. Killing the strength of schedule for the good teams. I know some will say that they are punishing everyone, for one person's crimes, but there had to of been more people who at least suspected what was going on. If they truly had cared about their school they would have come forward. They obviously cared nothing for their students past, present and future, then, so I can't see why they would care now. Penn state is tainted now. And Sandusky, Paterno, and all who looked on silently did that. Penn state's football program now knows what it's like to get fucked. We are judged as much by what we say as what we didn't say. |

He should have went to the police or something, anything. Think of the horror of some nasty bad breath smelling old man trying to have sex with your son, or nephew, neighbor, whom ever. You can't put a price on the hours that child spent feeling guilty and dirty. Kid's don't think like adults do they don't rationalize, they internalize. I'd say take Sandusky's and nail him by his penis, to a tree, set the tree on fire, and hand him an ax. |

This school deserves to lose ots precious football program, and the administrators who covered this up for 14 years should be prosecuted AND sued. |
