Switzerland has one of the best welfare systems in the world, e.g. free healthcare and timewise unlimited money for the jobless including money for participating at social life of society (e.g. money for cinema etc.). From your POV ist that pure communism.
That's the reason why the Swiss are peaceful people inspite of gun-rights!
If you want to copy the Swiss-System you have first to revover your totaly destroyed social-system which let the jobless simply starve.

Socialism works when everyone benefits, but that's not how it's done in the US.
