Using Twitter Wednesday evening and witnessing a slightly odd turn in direction for the Mitt Romney campaign, Romney congratulated Ron Paul for his career-long dedication to shedding light on one of the largest problems Americans face financially, the FED.

Just as Romney stated in the tweet at 5:51 PM, “Ron Paul’s 'Audit The Fed' bill is a reminder of his tireless efforts to promote sound money and a more transparent Federal Reserve,” giving credence to the only man in the House to have dedicated a very large part of an entire political career to attaining a very important goal, auditing the FED.

Perhaps this is what he will be allowed to speak about and the bill will move forward

No, no no. I was pointing out how odd it is, all these pats on the back and invitations after sooo much crap and Ron Paul going mainly ignored. All of a sudden he's getting welcomed

All I can figure is they are trying to appease us Paul supporters into voting Mitt.

I mean if Ron Paul can't vote for Romney then why should we, his supporters do so? Unless he gave Dr. Paul a cabinet position somewhere??? Maybe.

Hmmm would probably be smart on his part to do something along those lines. Unfortunately Paul is a tired old soldier. I think he's made it abundantly clear he is done with politics after he has finished this term in The House and this presidential bid.

Guy deserves to settle down and enjoy some time with the fam. There's a whole new generation of young patriots out there to carry on his legacy.

Here's a thought, maybe by seeing the crowd/delegate reaction to the many different speakers at the RNC, Ron Paul could be asked to be VP, he really has no dirt so he is solid.

The National Delegates elect the Vice Presidential nominee the same way they elect the Presidential nominee. Ron Paul will have the second most delegates there. And there is no arguement that nobody is bound to vote for the Vice Presidential nominee. There is a strong possibilty if Ron Paul does not win the Presidential nomination that he could win the Vice Presidential nomination. And vice versa, If Ron Paul wins the Presidential Nomination, most likely Governor Romney would walk away with the Vice Presidential nomination. Ron Paul 2012. If Romney wants my vote he better have Ron Paul's name next to his on the ballot.

Ok fair enough, he's been campaigning and hasn't been there to be the only one to vote "NO". He's been working on his audit the fed, and medical marijuana. I voted for RP in 08 for the primaries, and again this year. I feel like he let us all down by not continuing to campaign until the RNC. Yeah he's still on the ballot, but nobody knows it. I'm debating on going to the RNC, but I really don't want to be kettled by the jackboots, and entered into the legal system.
