Percentage of psychopaths in the population

This site averages 1 thread per minute with the killer's name in the headlines. Its sad really.

The term psychopath is itself a distraction.

'Normal' people act like psychopaths in mobs or under stress.

Idiocy in all its forms is inherently human.

Love is inherent. Hate is not. This is why our common law system prevails, and the majority can tell right from wrong. Or else there would be chaos.

A schizophrenic can be a psychopath.

This detracts from the real issue. Normal people aren't by definition psychopaths even in certain situations, mobs etc. They are temporarily insane or temporarily act insane but that's not psychopathy.


Some people think psychopaths make up 3-5 percent of the population.

The important question to find an answer for, is how large is the percentage of psychopaths in positions of power?

Psychopaths gravitate to and are disproportionately represented in positions where they have power over people.

Police, politicians, prison guards, bureaucrats, etc.

I suggest that the percentage of psychopaths could be as high as 20-30 percent in those fields. Perhaps higher. Because once a psychopath gets in power they attract and hire others just like them.

I believe it's far more than 1%. The downfall of American families (due to heavy brainwashing of the elite) has caused many children to develop psychological problems, to the point of being psychopathic. Drugs, alcohol, homosexuality, adultery, divorce, and dead beat fathers are just a few of the many reasons this is happening. While the illuminati may have had a hidden agenda, the majority of citizens were raised with Godly principles when this country was founded. We need Jesus back in America!

I completely agree. Look at the crime rate since evolution was legalized by the Supreme Court to be taught in the late 60s. It skyrocketed after millions lost their faith.

If the people really had the power to change politics, we wouldnt have a democracy (51% overrules 49%). It would be a Republic, which our founding fathers originally intended.

Its reasonable to assume that 95% of the world knows killing innocent people is wrong. Thank Moses' commandments for that. If this is a 'fail', then you wouldnt be able to type up a sentence on your laptop without something happening to you.

When the supreme court takes away the rights of the majority, you get the election of 2000. But im not supporting Gore here either. Which leads to the main problem with our electoral system and its campaigns. You get an election with characters like obama and romney as the only seemingly viable options. Its extremely sad to me (being a huge RP supporter).

I think you are seriously underestimating, I would put it at 85 - 95% of those in power at the federal level are psychopaths to one degree or another.

The majority are psychos of a different sort - as a pack they will agree to kill innocent people when sanitized under the color of law and carried out by so called authority. What they really object to is a sheep that gets above himself and acts without sanction of authority.

Im sure youre right. Its tough to accurately measure a statistic like this. We can only go by limited reported information. So in all likelihood it is indeed much higher, unfortunately.
