If we don't have it on earth, maybe we do, I suppose it might be elsewhere. It looks too hot right there at that spot. Quoting: WindyMind The only known material here on earth that can not be destroyed is Christmas fruitcake. They can survive heat and radiation. Some fruitcakes date back to around the times the pyramids were built. |

Change the 'Measurement', bottom left box here [link to helioviewer.org] to any thing other than 335. Nothing there. The AIA 335 band records TEMPERATURES in the 2,800,000 kelvin range, that's 5,000,000 degrees fahrenheit. Kinda hot for even aliens. Strange that it's only showing something at 5 MILLION degrees F and not say, the AIA 211 band at 3.6 Million degrees F. |

CHAPTER 1 HOW IT ALL BEGAN SOHO AND LASCO recovery 1998 Approximately 18 months after SOHO began transmitting, on June 24, 1998, SOHO went through a series of events that caused it to lose Sun pointing on June 25. The spacecraft started spinning around the solar vector sufficiently fast that it flipped to place the angular momentum vector with the highest moment of inertia pointing towards the Sun. :) new bookmark for me, thanks |
